Love Island‘s Serena Page & Ariana Grande Gave Us the Interaction of the Year
Nobody is immune to the wonders of Wicked — not even Love Island star Serena Page, who, thanks to the movie, just got a chance to hang out with Ariana Grande and give us the interaction we never knew we needed.
Page, who participated in and was crowned the winner of Season 6 of Love Island USA alongside Kordell Beckham, appears to have recently attended a private screening of Wicked Part One alongside Glinda The Good Witch herself — a.k.a Ariana Grande — and she made sure to immortalize the occasion on her Instagram stories.
As noted by PopCrave, Page took to her Ig to share a selfie with Ariana Grande shortly after watching the movie. “Thank you so much for having me, you beautiful soul,” Page wrote tagging Grande, who posed making a kissy face for the selfie. “Wicked 10/10! If you havent seen it already wyd??” Page added.
As an Alpha Kappa Alpha, Page knows that “pink goes good with green,” but though she might have posed with Grande, who plays Glinda in the film and whose trademark color is pink, her outfit was more in line with Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba, who favors green and black. As documented on her main grid, Page opted for an ombré leather trench coat from Hanifa, the brand founded by Teen Vogue Generation Next alum Anifa Mvuemba, featuring neon green edges and a black main body. She also rocked a green manicure à la Elphaba.
After much anticipation the first Wicked movie, with Grande and Erivo in the titular roles, finally arrived on November 22, 2024, and it’s been racking up nominations left and right ever since. Earlier this week, the 2025 Golden Globes nominations were announced, and Wicked is up for Best Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement. Erivo and Grande have also received nods for Best Actress — Motion Picture Musical or Comedy and Best Supporting Actress — Motion Picture, respectively,
Wicked is also tied with Conclave for the most nominations (11) at the 30th annual Critics Choice Awards, which will take place on January 12, 2025. The nominations include Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and more.
Wicked is based on the Broadway musical of the same name, which, in turn, is inspired by Gregory Maguire’s 1995 revisionist Wizard of Oz prequel novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. The motion picture has been split into two parts, with Wicked Part Two slated to arrive on November 21, 2025.
