Tyler Perry’s Zatima | Season 3 Episode 14 Review: Free Zac

After the disappointment of Episode 13, I’ve got to admit, I was worried that the writers might’ve lost their touch. But then Episode 14 hit, and I was laughing non-stop, especially at Zach’s antics. I’m not going to lie, this episode turned my mood completely around and made me forget my frustration from the previous one. It was that good!

First off, the episode kicks off with a hilarious interaction between Zach and a cop. When the cop asks Zach if he knows Nate and if he’s the one who reached out about the situation, Zach gives him the perfect response: “Wipe that phone down, it stinks with your Gerald Levert looking ass.” I was cracking up for a solid five minutes. Moments like these made the episode so much funnier, and it’s a shame they were the perfect remedy to the chaos of Episode 13.

Zach is still stuck in jail, and the ongoing drama with Fatima and the whole situation is making things tense. Fatima, trying to teach Zach a lesson, is being more stubborn than ever. The tension between the two is palpable, and though we get a few moments of humor, there’s still a lot of serious business happening behind the scenes.

Nate’s determination to get Zach out is something I can appreciate, but it’s clear there’s more to the story. Fatima keeps dragging her feet, which, honestly, is starting to make her look bad in this situation. The fact that she’s ignoring calls all day while Zach is stuck in jail just doesn’t sit right with me. You can see the tension building, and I’m sure it’ll come to a head soon.

Then there’s the hilarious gym scene with Fatima and Angela. Fatima’s pushing Angela to work out, making the usual gym banter, but there’s a lot more going on here than just getting healthy. Fatima’s casual attitude about the situation is frustrating, especially when you think about how Zach has been in jail for hours. But what really threw me off was the mysterious new character, Leslie. She’s adorable and has a deeper connection to Fatima than we first realized. There’s definitely some unresolved tension there, and it’ll be interesting to see how that relationship plays out in the future.

Speaking of relationships, I was dying laughing when Bryce calls Judge Simon to get Zach’s case sorted. The exchange between them was awkwardly funny, especially when Zach, in typical Zach fashion, questions Bryce with, “What the hell kind of question is that?” The humor here was spot on.

As the episode goes on, things escalate with Jake showing up at Angela’s place, causing a massive stir. This leads to a dramatic confrontation that leaves me wondering what kind of video he’s showing Angela. Is it a sex tape? Who knows, but it definitely changes the course of the episode.

Finally, the best part: Zach is finally free. He walks out of jail with Nate by his side, and despite the tense moments, we get a hilarious kid-in-play dance between the two. Even though there’s some drama with Bryce, the episode wraps up on a high note with Zach being set free and heading home.
