Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Zaren Is OFFICIALLY Done!

I know some people might think I’m ready to write Zach off or that I’m glad to see him gone, but that’s not what I said. Let’s be clear: I genuinely appreciate what Zach brought to the table, and in many ways, he’s helped Karen grow. That said, last night’s episode seemed to finally confirm what many of us have been hoping for—Zach and Karen are officially done. And by that, I mean truly cutting ties—not in terms of lingering feelings or drama, but in the practical sense of moving on with their lives.

Let’s be honest: their relationship was over as far back as season one. At the beginning of season two, Karen chose Aaron. Zach had already moved on with Fatima, and though they had a brief office encounter that hinted at giving Zach another chance, it was too late. Zach and Fatima made things official in the following season, leaving the endless back-and-forth and drama between him and Karen behind. From what we saw last night, that dynamic—the chaos, the toxicity—is finally over.

Now, my favorite part of Zach being at the house wasn’t the montages or the dramatics. It was the raw, emotional moments at the start of the scene—Zach at a loss for words, visibly breaking down as he noticed Faith in the crib, and the moment he picked her up. That honesty and vulnerability—that is what made me feel something. Everything else, including the montages of their so-called “good times,” did not achieve the emotional impact the writers seemed to aim for. Those clips mostly highlighted sexual encounters and toxic behavior, not genuine love or connection.

Overall, it feels like Zach and Karen have finally reached closure. Zach even gave Karen advice reminiscent of what Danny once told him: “Feel your feelings, but don’t get stuck there.” That’s the theme of this season for me—acknowledging emotions while still moving forward. Karen now has a beautiful baby girl to care for, and Zach has Fatima and their family to focus on. It’s clear that both of them need to prioritize their new lives rather than rekindle old conflicts.

This episode, to me, solidified the clean break we’ve been waiting for. Zach went in to support Karen, helped her gain a sense of footing, and then left—without lingering tension or drama. Karen seems to be slowly finding herself again, a version of herself that is not the same as before, but stronger and grounded in her role as a mother. Meanwhile, Zach can return to his fiancée and focus on building a family.

Let’s hope this chapter of Zach and Karen drama is truly closed. They don’t need to create unnecessary tension or revisit old arguments. Both can coexist peacefully while moving forward with their separate lives. If there’s drama, let it come from new sources, not recycled conflicts from their past.

So, that’s where I’m at. Zach and Karen are done, and it’s about time. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Like, subscribe, and I’ll catch you in the next one.
