Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Was Sabrina Wrong For Telling Damany That Rich Wasn’t A Viable Donor?

In a recent post I made on Twitter and the Facebook group, I asked for opinions on whether Sabrina was wrong for telling D-Man about Rich’s sperm being unsuitable for egg freezing, which led to some mixed responses. Personally, I’m torn on this issue. On one hand, I understand the argument that Sabrina overstepped by sharing information that wasn’t necessarily her business, especially since she was upset earlier in the season when Rich had called Tony about Danny’s panic attack. It does seem like a bit of a double standard. However, I think there’s an important distinction here: Sabrina wasn’t just sharing gossip—she was dealing with a critical aspect of her fertility treatment.

If Sabrina intended to move forward with freezing her eggs, she was in a tough spot. Dr. Moore had already told her that if she didn’t sort out the donor situation quickly, the entire procedure would be a waste of time and money. So, even though it felt abrupt and emotional—especially after all the chaos with Danny, Rich, and the hospital—Sabrina probably felt an obligation to tell D-Man because he was the only viable donor left.

I get that it all unfolded in one whirlwind day, with Sabrina juggling emotionally charged events, but I also see why she might have turned to D-Man for help. Yes, it seemed like a messy situation, and the way Sabrina shared the news was definitely rushed. But when you’re working under time pressure, it’s hard to handle things any other way. After all, when Sabrina informed D-Man, she was already facing a major deadline. If she didn’t confirm the donor situation, the entire process would be derailed.

Looking at it from another angle, even if Sabrina had waited a day or two, she still would have had to tell D-Man. The moment she mentioned that Rich wouldn’t be the donor, D-Man would naturally question what was going on, especially considering Rich had interfered in the procedure earlier. To avoid making Rich look bad, Sabrina would have had to explain that his sperm was no longer an option. That would have led to the same conversation—just a bit later. So in my view, it was almost inevitable that Sabrina would have to tell D-Man eventually, even if the timing was far from perfect.

In the end, I think Sabrina was in a difficult position, and while it wasn’t the ideal way to handle it, her decision makes sense given the urgency of the situation.
