Miss Lisa is done playing games! In the latest episode, we saw her step in to make sure Karen actually follows the doctor’s orders and stays on bed rest. And honestly? This has been a long time coming.
From the very start, Karen made it clear she had no intention of staying put. “I was resting, Mama, but Andy needed me.” But Lisa wasn’t buying it. She knows her daughter too well, and this time, she’s taking control.
Then came Pam, trying to invite herself to stay over. But Miss Lisa wasn’t having that nonsense either. “Oh snap, Pam—nah, we ain’t doing that mess around here! You will NOT be conducting your nasty sexcapades in my daughter’s place of business.” And just like that, Pam was put in check!
The only misstep? When Karen casually mentioned having a visitor, and Lisa immediately assumed it was Zach bringing her stress. Come on now, let’s not go down that road again. But in the next episode? Lisa finally does something fans have been waiting for—she gets loud with Karen!
See, last night on Twitter, everyone was talking about how Lisa was being extra tough on Pam, but not on her own daughter. Well, that’s about to change. Karen was ready to call Pam and check in on the salon, but Lisa shut that down. “No, you put that phone down. I want to make sure you’re resting. I’ll check on the salon myself.”
The moment Lisa left, Karen immediately started plotting her escape. She was sitting there, watching TV, and even joked about The Young and the Restless. But then Andy called with some drama, and Karen jumped at the chance to leave. “No, no, fine! I won’t drive. I’ll get someone to pick me up!” She just couldn’t sit still.
Well, that decision is about to bite her, because in the next episode, Lisa finds out. “So you just don’t care that the doctor said you need to be on bed rest?” Karen’s excuse? “Andy needed me.” And Lisa’s response? “F*** Andy!”
Now, let’s be real—Lisa tried this once before, back in Season 5, when Karen was in the hospital. But that time, Lisa had to leave after less than 48 hours, and Karen begged her friends to cover for her. This time, though, Karen is further along in her pregnancy, and Lisa seems determined to keep her in check.
With Pam running the salon now and Karen supposedly done showing up unannounced at Zach and Fatima’s place, there’s no real reason for her to be out and about. But knowing Karen, she always finds a way to stir up drama.
Still, this time around, Lisa is serious. If Karen even thinks about sneaking out, Lisa will be right there to stop her. And let’s not forget—Aaron is also in the picture. Unlike Karen, he actually listens. If she needs anything, he’ll run errands for her. So Karen better get comfortable, because she’s about to be benched for the rest of the season.
And honestly? I’m fine with that.
