Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Did Zac Make A Mistake By Telling Agent Watt About His Murder Suspect Board?
In Episode 16, Zach gets an earful from Fatima, and honestly, I can’t say I agree with her frustration. She reprimands him for talking to Agent Watt about their investigation into who stabbed Gary, saying it could get them arrested in 24 hours. But I’m sitting here wondering why Fatima is so upset with Zach when he was just trying to protect their family. It doesn’t make sense to me, especially when I look back at the situation from the perspective of the show.
Zach had no ulterior motives when he revealed the murder board to Agent Watt. He wasn’t trying to undermine Fatima’s work. He was just trying to buy them more time. With the feds breathing down their necks, I think Zach made the right call. Fatima could have easily slipped up, or Agent Watt could have found some other reason to arrest them. At that point, Zach’s move was the best option to keep them out of jail.
I understand Fatima’s perspective—she wanted to handle things herself. But let’s be real: if they hadn’t stalled for time, both of them could’ve been arrested right there. Zach wasn’t doing anything dumb. He was just trying to stay one step ahead. Fatima might have been able to handle the situation on her own, but Zach buying them that extra time was crucial.
What really bugs me, though, is the way the writers have been portraying Zach this season. They’ve turned him into this clueless, bumbling character, and it’s frustrating. First, he accidentally reveals Fatima’s pregnancy to Karen, and now he’s being chastised for telling Agent Watt about the murder board. I think he did the right thing. He even pointed out that if they had anything to do with the stabbing, they wouldn’t be working as hard as they were to find the killer.
But let’s not forget that the pressure is on everyone right now. Marie gave Andy a week to get back to work, or she’s out of the firm. Zack and Fatima have 24 hours to crack the case, or they get arrested. Sabrina has to decide whether to use Demani’s sperm to freeze her eggs. Karen and Pam have deadlines for their business plan. The only one without a big deadline is Danny, and that’s just because HR is investigating Tony for favoritism.
In the end, I don’t think Zach deserved to be reprimanded like that. He was doing what he thought was right to protect their family. And Fatima, wasting time with that Sister Circle meeting that did nothing for her, just added more frustration to an already tense situation. I really hope next week’s episodes shift focus back to the Hayden and Tamara drama for Zack and Fatima’s sake, but I just wish the writers hadn’t made Zach look like such a fool this season.
