This ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8 Couple Just Went Public After Being Left Out of the Show
If you’ve already watched the first six episodes Love Is Blind season 8, you might be under the impression that cast members Kylie Schuelke and Brian Sumption left the pods alone, but you’d be wrong. Turns out, they’re one of the Love Is Blind couples not featured on the show! And not only did they fall in love, it looks like they’re still together.
Every season on LIB, there are couples we, as viewers, don’t get to see. That’s just how the editing cookie crumbles. This time around, after the initial episode drop of season 8, LIB creator Chris Coelen admitted to Variety that there were two engagements not shown in the final edit, but he didn’t reveal their names. Now, it seems like Kylie and Brian might have been one of those two couples.
The Love Is Blind alums made their relationship Instagram official the week after the season premiere, sharing photos from a LIB watch party. “From the pods to reality—what a journey,” Kylie wrote in the caption. “Grateful for every moment, every lesson, and everyone I met along the way. Love Is Blind—you were a wild, unforgettable ride.” In the pics, the two seem very much in love, toasting with the show’s signature gold wineglasses.
Based on the photo, it’s unclear if the two are still engaged or even married. Kylie doesn’t appear to be wearing an engagement or wedding ring in the pic, but that could just be because of strict contracts and NDAs contestants no doubt have to sign to take part in the show. Couples aren’t supposed to disclose their relationship statuses until the very end, but since they appear to have been almost completely cut out from the season, it looks like they got the go-ahead to go public.
Honestly, I wish we had seen more of these two. If only because Brian’s short hair immediately sets him apart from all the other identical white men on this season. (Sorry, but it’s true.) But, alas, no use focusing on the past. Hopefully, they’ll be able to tell fans more about their Love Is Blind love story soon.
