The Shocking Truth Behind the Cut Scene: Wil Reveals How Lucy Was Dumped at Casa Amor?
It wouldn’t be a lie to say this year’s series of Love Island is certainly serving the drama we all needed over the less than impressive Summer! As well as the bombshell of Joey Essex being the first celebrity to enter the villa, Islanders such as Ronnie Vint, Ciaran Davies, Grace Jackson, Wil Anderson, and Uma Jammeh have also delivered when it comes to entertainment.
One part of Love Island which never fails to disappoint is Casa Amor, which once again caused some heads to turn as 12 new bombshells entered.
As fans will know, the major talking point from Casa was when Wil Anderson expressed interest in Lucy Graybill, getting to know her and kissing her, whilst his partner Uma remained 100% loyal in the other villa.
Following his behaviour, fans were shocked to witness Wil stick with Uma during the recoupling, but in a recent interview with Hits Radio, it seems some MAJOR parts were cut from TV.
Speaking alongside his now girlfriend Uma, Wil confessed: “The one thing I’m surprised didn’t make it was me telling Lucy that she isn’t getting picked, and that I’m all for Uma, and trying to get her to talk to all of the other boys so she has a fair shot at sort of getting into the main villa.
“When I came out I got told that no one knew if I was going to stick with Uma or choose Lucy at the recoupling point. But at that point in time, Lucy knew she wasn’t getting picked, and everyone else there knew.
“I told her from very early on, as soon as I’d kissed her, I didn’t feel it at all. So I told her straight away and it didn’t get aired.”
Going on to speak about Lucy’s having her say on the matter, Wil added: “All of a sudden she’s now going on podcasts saying she didn’t know until the final thing. She thought she was going to get picked. Which she knew she wasn’t getting picked the whole time.”
As Love Island viewers will know, Wil was brutally dumped from the villa when bombshell Reuben Collins chose to couple up with Uma, leaving him single.
However, in a shock twist, Uma chose to quit the villa in order to leave with her partner, despite Wil still trying to get back in her good books following his behaviour at Casa, and at the Movie Night which followed days later.
Speaking to Hits Radio about the dramatic moment, Wil said: “The worst thing about all of that was when we were sat down, because as soon as we sat down Uma started crying, and Reuben was stood in front of us laughing, it was terrible really.
“He knew what was going to happen, he knew he was choosing Uma, and you could see how upset she was and he was just laughing.”
Speaking to Uma, Wil added: “He could have seen the way that you were and just decided on someone else.”
Revealing the reason she was so upset during the recoupling, Uma added: “The reason I was so upset from the beginning was because I had an idea of what was going to happen. Before the text came through I actually stood up to have a conversation with Reuben and tell him that I didn’t want anything to come in between Wil and I. I didn’t want to waste his time because he is a lovely person.
“As soon as I stood up, the text basically came through, so I couldn’t even say what I wanted to say. Which is why I was so frustrated at the fire pit, and why I was crying so much, because I knew what was coming.”
Since leaving the villa together, the pair have now made their relationship official, with Wil asking Uma to be his girlfriend over the weekend.
