Mystery Solved: Jasmine Was The Person Who Stabbed Gary

Finally, the mystery of who stabbed Gary has been solved, and it turns out Jasmine was the culprit. “Nana boo, I was right!” But joking aside, while I’m glad the mystery has been unraveled, I still feel empty. The revelation that should have been shocking didn’t leave me feeling satisfied. Honestly, I wasn’t thinking about Jasmine getting shot at this point. What disappointed me was that although the mystery was solved, the story lacked the excitement and tension I was hoping for.

Although the suspect board played a role in helping Zach identify the culprit, it wasn’t fully explored. While many signs and facial expressions pointed to Jasmine as the killer, there was no further development from it. Initially, Zach suspected Jasmine, but then there was no follow-up, and the suspect board wasn’t further explored in the final episode.

The writers could have done more with this suspect board. They could have dedicated an entire episode to the stabbing, or even focused on a different suspect each episode, gradually developing the mystery over time. We had interrogations and several potential suspects like Hayden, Tamara, and Penelope, but many questions remain unanswered even though we have an answer. The problem is that the answer didn’t feel as satisfying as I expected.

Another great idea would have been for the writers to use the suspect board as the central focus throughout the season. Zach and Fatima could have teamed up like Sherlock Holmes and Watson, discussing the suspects together. For example, they could have spent an episode speculating whether Tamara was the culprit, and then we could have seen flashback scenes revealing her true intentions. This would have added intrigue and drawn the audience in more. But instead, the writers missed that opportunity.

Additionally, another missed opportunity was the flashbacks to the wedding party. We know many characters were present there—Jasmine, Jordan, Penelope, Danny, Karen, Sabrina, Hayden, Tamara, Andy, Hudson, as well as Zach and Fatima. However, there were no flashbacks that helped the audience piece together the events of that night. Why were there no flashbacks to Jasmine stabbing Gary, or Jordan finding Penelope covered in blood?

The decision to stretch the story over 19 episodes made everything drag. While I didn’t expect this season to be as fast-paced as the previous one, at the very least, it should have had a quicker pace. There were too many characters involved, and we didn’t get important flashback scenes or developments to make the story feel complete.

Ultimately, the final episode left many questions unanswered. We didn’t get those important flashbacks, and some decisions, like Gary constantly remembering Andy, were really confusing and meaningless. These moments detracted from the impact of the mystery.

In conclusion, the writers got it wrong. Even though we found out who the culprit was, the execution didn’t feel satisfying. The story was mostly “told” rather than “shown,” so the final reveal didn’t have the powerful impact it should have had.

That’s my take on the issue. If you agree or have a different opinion, leave a comment. And don’t forget to like and subscribe – see you in the next video!
