Love Island’s Dejon breaks silence on viral book controversy

Dejon Noel-Williams and Meg Moore sat in the Love Island villa.

Ex-Love Island star Dejon Noel-Williams has hit back at ‘false, very untrue and unfair’ rumours swirling around him, in his first TikTok post since exiting the villa.

The 26-year-old reality star is reportedly the focus of a new tell-all book, Surviving Dejon, penned by his relative Niah Sienna.

Although not blood-related to Dejon, Niah shares a brother with him and didn’t hold back in labelling the ITV celeb a narcissist while he was still in the villa.
Niah has since published a book, described as a “raw, gripping memoir.” Its synopsis reads in part: “With unflinching honesty, Niah Sienna recounts a personal journey through darkness, one that left invisible scars.”

The novel has shot to viral fame on TikTok, prompting Dejon to take to the platform to seemingly refute its allegations.

In a video shared on August 9, he expressed gratitude to his fans, saying: “I just want to say a big thanks to everybody that supported me so far. It really means the world to me, honestly, especially in times like now,” reports OK!.

Dejon then seemed to address Niah’s claims head-on, stating: “I feel like there’s a lot of false stories out there about me, which are very untrue [and] unfair. Apart from that, really big up to all of my supporters. I’m excited and looking forward to showing you guys who I really am.”

Niah didn’t waste time in responding to Dejon’s video.

In a TikTok video shared on 10 August, she stated: “I just saw his [Dejon’s] response video claiming that everything was fake…that’s very interesting, very interesting. Because wow, to lie about something like this is insane. I actually can’t believe that he’s lied about this.”

Before making his TikTok debut, Dejon had already sat down with the Daily Mail and responded to being labelled a narcissist by ITV viewers.

He admitted: “I do take full accountability for how I communicated at times in the villa.

“The girls who were on the show with me say I’m not a narcissist, I’m not a gaslighter, all of these things they have seen online, it means a lot to me because they spent 24 hours a day with me.

“I could have handled situations better but when it comes to being a ‘narcissist’ and these words, empathy is definitely something that I have, it’s something I had for Meg, for Harry, and when Meg was upset, I was there for her, and when Harry was upset it would break my heart.”
