‘Love Island’ Star’s Scary Cooking Accident Leaves Him With Stitches

Everyone makes mistakes, even those who seemingly have it all together. Living a life that everyone dreams of — in Calabasas with his girlfriend, Love Island: USA fan favorite Leah Kateb, by his side — Miguel Harichi is no exception.

Today (August 26), Harichi shared a not-so glamorous side of his life to TikTok, revealing to his 1.9M followers that he accidentally sliced his finger in a scary cooking accident, and he had to get two stitches as a result. Poor guy!

Posted just hours after he shared a TikTok video with his dog, Kiwi — begging her to get off of his lap — Harichi shared a second TikTok video documenting his injury, captioned “Doc said I was a brave man fighting that bear named Mango.”

Nevertheless, the Love Island: USA season 6 star prefaced, “I should have let Kiwi stay on my lap, because the moment I do that to go slice a mango, I slice my pinky. I am now going to urgent care to see if I need to get some stitches,” before vlogging his experience at urgent care from start to finish.

“I can’t believe I’ve done this. I’ve never sliced my finger,” Harichi said in disbelief as he made his way from his home to his car, then to urgent care.

Then, checking in from the doctor’s office, he gave his followers an update: “My pinky is very numb right now, but we got everything… Man’s only getting two stitches.”

In true Miguel fashion, he coped with the situation with his superb sense of humor, offering some words of wisdom to said followers: “Pinky stays up at all times. That’s what I’ll say. Pinky stays up at all times.”

Needless to say, fans were quite concerned for Miguel, sharing their support in the comment section. “Damn Miguel 😂😂😂 Glad you are okay though,” one wrote, while another added, “Hope you’re doing much better. Praying for you 🙏🏾👏🏾❤️.” A third joked, “Hope it’s feeling better now 🤍 Pinkies up! 😂

Concerned for his significant other as well, others speculated what Kateb’s reaction was to the injury: “I know Leah was panicking the whole time 😭”

Concluding the video, Harichi eased everyone’s concerns, sharing with Love Island: USA fans all across the globe, “The finger is attached and we’re good. Healthy… I didn’t tear a tendon or nothing. Thankfully, it wasn’t that deep.”

Despite the “long wait,” the procedure itself was “really quick,” leaving with two stitches and a silly story to share. We wish you a speedy recovery, Miguel!
