Love Island star Luca Bish’s family speak out after he breaks down in tears
Love Island star Luca Bish’s family have spoken out after emotional scenes aired on the ITV2 show on Monday night. Previously, ITV2 viewers saw India Reynolds dumped from the Island after Tina Stinnes chose to ‘steal’ Scott Thomas off her.
Luca had also been getting to know Tina, as he was seen getting emotional during a chat with Islanders, saying he “didn’t know” what he was doing here, after admitting to Ekin Su that he was crying. However, the 25-year-old assured Islanders he was fine.
“Tina picking Scott; I think your emotions get the better of you,” he said during a confessional. “You have peaks and troughs [in here].” Luca then told Ekin-Su the Islander was ‘so different’ to when he first appeared in 2022, as Scott reassured him that his ‘dream girl’ would be on the way.
Later, Tina assured Luca she still wanted to get to know him, and it was a difficult decision between the pair. As fans rushed to show their support to Luca on X, formerly known on Twitter, broke their silence on his Instagram as they take over while he’s away.
After reposting the reel of the conversation to Luca’s story, they shared a picture of the star, which they captioned: “THE toughest episode,” alongside a heartbreak emoji. The story also contained a question box for viewers to add their thoughts, titled: “Let’s debrief.”
Echoing on X, fans emphasised with the star, as one penned: “Luca made me sad on love island.”
“Luca is heartbroken. I think the experience is bringing back memories and he is missing that safety of someone who genuinely has his back,” penned a second, while another wrote: “That love island villa is too cruel for our Luca.”
During his first stint in the villa, Luca formed a connection with Gemma Owen, as the two finished as runners up behind Ekin Su and Davide Sanclimenti. The pair continued a relationship outside of the villa, however, later went their separate ways.
During his first stint on the show, Luca received many comments from ‘trolls’ online, as he revealed his mum was worried about him going back on. Speaking to The Mirror and other press, he said: “I think the hardest thing was not knowing how I’d react. They’re receiving all this hate and I come out and you don’t know how I’m going to take it.
“My mum was worried. My dad I just got a nod. He’s reserved a lot in what he says, I usually hear through my mum what he’s feeling. My sister was like don’t embarrass me, so noted!” he said.
