Love Island Season 12 star tipped to be ‘next Molly Mae’ and it’s not the winner

Following the Love Island Season 12 reunion party, a PR expert has forecasted which star of the series will emerge as the most successful influencer.

The summer series cast gathered in London for a posh party last week, their first get-together since the live final where Toni Laites and Cach Mercer were declared winners. Fans got a sneak peek at the private party through the Islanders’ social media pages, capturing everything from being photographed by paparazzi to taking shots.

Only four Islanders missed the party. Harrison Solomon and Ben Holbrough were absent due to club appearances elsewhere, while Sophie Lee and bombshell Will Means simply had other commitments.

According to PR expert Stacey Wong from Add People, this hustle following the show is crucial if they want to maintain their status as reality stars and influencers. However, one star, Shakira Khan, has the potential to elevate influencing to a new level.

Shakira Khan and Harry Cooksley sat together in the Love Island villa.

Shakira, who was the runner-up with her partner Harry Cooksley, was a fan favourite throughout the series. The Burnley native received significantly more press coverage during her time on the show than her peers, reports OK!.

“It’s often the case that the second place couple end up having more influence than the winners. Take Molly Mae and Tommy, for example. However, this doesn’t always mean those two are going to have the most successful influencing career,” Stacey said.

“While headline coverage during their time in the villa will give brands something to work from when they’re choosing who to approach with deals, so much more goes into crafting your personal brand as an influencer.

“As we’ve seen with other stars like Ekin-Su, brand partnerships that don’t quite hit the mark can put them a worse position so that’s something Shakira and the others will need to take care with over the next few months.”

Molly Mae Hague featured on Season 5 of Love Island and is regarded as one of the most successful participants ever to come from the programme. She has since established herself as a skilled businesswoman, creating cosmetics brand Filter and fashion company Maebe, whilst also partnering with leading fashion labels.

She recently starred in her own Prime Video reality programme, Molly Mae: Behind It All, which has now been commissioned for a second series.
