Love Island feud exposed as former ‘best mates’ snub each other and delete pics after secret fall out
The pair formed a close bond during their stint in the ITV2 villa – and continued their flourishing friendship in the real world.
Claudia Fogarty, 30, and Samie Elishi, 24, were often seen on boozy days out or soaking up the sunshine on glam holidays together.
The Love Island duo also splashed out on a £300-a-night cruise to Mallorca back in 2023.
Yet loyal fans have now suggested their friendship has cooled – even to the extent they have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
One took to Reddit to muse: “I’m sure they were best mates for a long period of time after Love Island. They appear to have unfollowed each other and removed all photos of them together…”
Another commented: “Hmm wonder what happened in November?! They were hanging out, posting each other, interacting on IG and then nothing.
“Seemed like something must’ve happened then because that’s when they were last together for a Spacenk event on November 12th and then after that they stopped interacting with each other entirely
“Seems like Samie and Danielle (Claudia’s sister) also unfollowed each other as well.”
Another gushed: “Oh now that’s tea. they were best friends,” as one added: “Ohhh that is strange. They were very tight for a while.”
Another then bluntly put: “It’s going to be over a man isn’t it.”
STRONG BOND
Claudia proved a source of support for Samie amid her thyroid cancer scare following their villa stint.
The brave TV star had a lump removed from her throat and shared a snap from her hospital bed shortly after her Hemithyroidectomy operation.
Claudia was quick to write at the time: “Love you so proud of you.”
As well as the lump, Samie also told this week how she’d need to have half of her thyroid removed.
Following the surgery she took to Instagram to update fans.
Alongside the snap of her in a hospital bed, she wrote: “Surgery complete guys!
“I feel absolutely fine, no drainage was needed or anything. I’m very lucky.
“I’m now on rest duty but will be vlogging the recovery. Every day I receive soo many supportive messages from you guys.
“Me raising awareness has lead to some of you having this surgery and getting lumps in your necks checked. If I can help one person that’s enough.”
Samie’s health concerns were discovered after Love Island viewers pointed out her lump.
She placed third on the hit-ITV dating programme with ex Tom Clare, behind winners Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan and runners-up Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins.
