Love Island fans work out next star to leave after recoupling causes chaos

Love Island fans have worked out who might leave next, with many fearing for one islander.

In the previous episode that aired on Friday, the boys were given the chance to select which girl they wanted to couple up with. Producers gave each boy a chance to choose first, leaving Curtis Pritchard until one of the last, with the episode ending on a tense cliffhanger. Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Danielle Sellers waited side by side to see who he would couple up with. Tina Stinnes was also standing with the pair and had previously been coupled up with Scott Thomas.

Curtis had been getting to know bombshell Danielle, despite recently closing things off with Ekin-Su. Danielle chose Curtis in her first recoupling, stealing him away from Ekin-Su, with Curtis stating Ekin-Su was his priority, though not making this clear to Danielle, who believed he was still open to getting to know her.

Curtis ended up choosing to partner with Ekin-Su, leaving Ron to couple up with Danielle. Fans have now been left worried that Danielle and Ron might leave – with fans desperate to see Ron stay.

“Ron’s lowkey a mug if he’s gonna chat to danielle like she didn’t even pick you #LoveIsland,” one wrote, whilst another added: “Can they send someone in who actually wants Ron and not just settles for him. He deserves more #LoveIslandAllStars #LoveIsland.” A third shared: “Danielle is gonna play Ron,” with another writing: “i feel like ron has terrible luck #LoveIslandAllStars.”

This comes after Curtis’ ex, whom he broke up with before entering the villa, has claimed he treated her like a doormat. Curtis was dating performer Sophie Sheridan, who claims they were discussing marriage before he dropped her to go on the ITV show due to an “obsession with fame.”

Sophie and Curtis reportedly met at a panto of Cinderella in Wolverhampton in 2021, and started dating the following year. While Sophie said they’d been together for nearly three years before the split, Curtis told Maya Jama and the other islanders his last romance ended “about four months ago for me. It was kind of new but I just knew it wasn’t right and if you know that then it sort of, I had to just end it.”

Curtis went on Love Island Games in 2023, and Sophie claimed that Curtis “pressured” her to pretend that they were broken up so that he could make money on the show for their future together. She added to The Sun that she had “psychological trauma” after he finished his time on the show.

The performer said that even beyond his TV stint as a single man, he wanted her to keep their relationship “under wraps” and stopped her from flaunting their relationship on social media or in the public eye.

Sophie described how after a trip away he had “convenient timing” to dump her with the offer of a place on All Stars and that they’ve had no contact since the sudden split in October – and that she was only speaking out now because of how “disrespectful” he was to her.

“We’d spoken about the future, about getting married and having kids, but then suddenly it was over,” she said, adding that considering how cut up she was about Curtis being on Love Island Games, he knew it was either her or All Stars this time around.

“He knew I wouldn’t fake another break-up. I need to stand up for myself and actually tell the truth because I’ve just been a doormat for nearly three years,” she shared.
