Love Island fans are so confused about this recoupling decision

There was a surprise recoupling during tonight’s (30 June) Love Island, and the boys chose which girl they wanted to pair with, but fans are confused about how things went down.

To recap, there’s been days of drama between Toni, Helena, and Harrison – AKA: the villa’s latest love triangle. Given that the boys were doing the choosing tonight, viewers were keen to see who Harrison would pick, Toni (who he’s been coupled with for weeks) or Helena (who he’s shared many flirty chats with, plus a kiss in the Hideaway).

One by one, the Love Island boys gave their speeches, with Harrison’s turn getting closer and closer. But, before we got to see who he’d choose, Ben swooped in and coupled up with Helena himself, prompting fans to query why producers would put the boys in that order.

“WHY WOULD THEY NOT PUT HARRISON BEFORE BEN NOW WE DONT KNOW WHO HE ACTUALLY WANTED TO CHOOSE,” one fan shared on X, with another posting: “Why would the producers make Ben go first instead of Harrison???”

As if the recoupling order wasn’t confusing enough, Harrison then left fans even more baffled with the comments he made afterwards: telling both Helena and Toni he was intending to pick them.

“‘No I don’t know what I was gonna do,’ when he just told Helena he had a speech ready for her, this man is so childish,” someone wrote on X, as a different viewer shared: “So Harrison was going to recouple with Helena and just lied to Toni unprovoked… Get him out my villa immediately.”

A third fan agreed, posting: “‘I had a speech ready for you,'” yeah get this loser out of my villa and free Toni.”
