It’s A Great Day For Old-School Rachel Reilly Fans Amid Brutal BB27 Goodbye
During her first Big Brother run, Rachel was known for her iconic quotes, including, “Floaters, you better grab a life vest!,” and “Nobody comes between me and my man.” She was also unconcerned about Jury management, and left harsh goodbye messages for the evicted houseguests.
Adrian was evicted by a vote of 8 to 4 over Will Williams. Zach Cornell, Vince Panaro, Morgan Pope, Mickey Lee, Jimmy Heagerty, Ashley Hollis, Ava Pearl, and Rachel Reilly voted against Adrian, while Keanu Soto, Katherine Woodman, Rylie Jeffries, and Kelley Jorgensen voted to keep him in the house.
In an Instagram post, Big Brother shared the goodbye messages that the houseguests left for evictee Adrian Rocha. All of the houseguests except for Rachel sang Adrian’s praises, stating what a wonderful person he is, and some even apologizing for evicting him. Zach even told Adrian that he even wanted them to be in the Final 2 together, but yet he voted him out.
However, Rachel was the only one who gave Adrian a harsh goodbye message. She said, “Adrian, I’m so sorry, but I’m actually not. Seeing you go is not gonna really be that hard. As a matter of fact, my game’s gonna be a lot better.”
A different fan wrote, “Rachel leaving a savage goodbye message knowing he’s going home and not to Jury [skull emoji].” PlutoTV even commented on the post, writing, “living for Rachel’s goodbye messages this season.”
Although old-school Rachel fans were delighted to see her bring back the sass, others didn’t appreciate her goodbye message to Adrian, thinking that it was uncalled-for. One wrote, “Goodbye messages don’t need to be unnecessarily rude. That says more about the person than the evictee.” Another fan said, “Rachel, I love you but this is so savage.”
A third fan expressed that they hoped that Rachel was evicted soon and that her mean persona is all for show. They wrote, “Hope Rachel goes soon. I never cared for her. I hope her entitled queen attitude is just an act for the cameras.”
One fan wondered if the nice goodbye messages from the other Big Brother 27 houseguests were fake, writing, “Can we cut down on all the crying and I love you’s? It’s a game and people get voted out. Is this all an act for tv? Looks very phony to me.” Another added, “IT’S A GAME SHOW FOR 750,000 STOP YOUR I’M SORRY AND CRYING.”
What Rachel Reilly’s Brutal Goodbye Message For Adrian Rocha Means For Big Brother 27
Rachel Is Torn Between Old-School & Modern Big Brother
Rachel comes from the old-school days of Big Brother, when houseguests played with their alliances out in the open, and often had explosive arguments with each other. Modern Big Brother is much kinder and gentler, but it also makes the show very boring to watch.
It’s infuriating and frustrating to watch houseguests such as Zach saying that he wanted to go to the Final 2 with Adrian in his goodbye message, after he voted him out. It wouldn’t have been that hard for Zach and his allies to flip the vote to keep Adrian.
Even though Rachel’s goodbye message was a bit harsh, it was honest, which was refreshing to see. It could mean that she’s ready to bring back old-school Rachel, and start playing the game in a more in-your-face way than she has been all season. She expressed in her Diary Room confessional that she was having a hard time playing modern Big Brother, and maybe she should bring back the old Rachel.
Although only Adrian and Big Brother 27 viewers will see Rachel’s goodbye message for now, it could be a sign that she’s bringing back her bolder personality.
Our Take On Rachel’s Harsh Goodbye Message To Adrian
Rachel Doesn’t Have To Be Mean To Be Real
While old-school Rachel will be fun to watch, she doesn’t have to be mean to be real. Adrian is a truly nice person, and he didn’t deserve such a cold goodbye from Rachel. However, I do like that she wasn’t phony with him. She was one of the only houseguests who wasn’t sobbing during his eviction, but I didn’t hold it against her because they all seemed so fake with their theatrics.
I hope that Rachel can find a good balance between her old-school tactics and her new philosophy of playing a gentler game. I think that she can go far if she makes some strong allies, and sticks with them for as long as possible. As a Rachel fan, I’m hoping that she can become the first two-time Big Brother winner.
