“I Need Unseen Bits”: Love Island USA Season 7 Fans Complain About No New Episodes On Wednesdays

Love Island USA recently returned for a brand-new season, but fans just learned the hard way that the reality show’s schedule ensures that there are no new episodes on WednesdaysLove Island USA season 7 premiered on June 3 and has already streamed eight episodes so far, including an “Aftersun” episode on June 7, which is typical for Saturday nights. The season started with 10 Islanders, and four more joined over the next several days. On Day 3, Yulissa Escobar was removed from the game after past racist comments resurfaced. Then Belle-A Walker was dumped on Day 6.

Love Island USA fans expressed their disappointment after remembering that the show doesn’t air new episodes on Wednesdays.

Taking to Reddit, DreamsAndBoxes created a thread with the caption, “When you have a miserable day at work then realize it’s Wednesday and there’s no new episode,” and included a photo of a crying cast member. Several fans replied to express their disappointment as they just remembered that Love Island USA never releases new episodes on Wednesdays. Fuzzy-Mycologist-678 went through the entire day assuming they would have “something messy to watch tonight.

Some fans revealed what they’re watching instead, like Love Island UK and The Real Housewives of Miami. Radioactiveflipflop “took a two hour nap instead.” Multiple people suggested that Peacock should release “Unseen Bits” on Wednesdays since there’s no new episode. Lameduhk said, “I thought there would be like unseen bits or something.”

What No Wednesday Episodes Mean For Love Island USA

Love Island USA Premiere Week Had A Wednesday Episode

While Peacock not releasing Love Island USA episodes on Wednesdays has been the norm in recent years, there’s a very particular reason why fans probably forgot about this schedule. When Love Island USA season 7 premiered, Peacock actually did release the second episode on Wednesday, June 4. That was probably due to the fact that the premiere was on a Tuesday, and the executives likely wanted to keep viewers engaged, so they made an exception to their usual schedule.

Despite this disappointment, there’s about to be more Love Island than ever before coming up in July when the Love Island: Beyond The Villa spin-off debuts. After a Sunday premiere on July 13, subsequent episodes will be released on Thursdays. It’s interesting that the streaming service has decided to release Beyond The Villa on Thursdays when the very open Wednesday nights were right there. Then again, it’s possible Love Island USA season 7 will be wrapping up around that time (the season 6 finale was on July 21, 2024).

Our Take On Fans Wanting Unseen Bits On Wednesdays

Fans had a great idea about adding “Unseen Bits” episodes on Wednesdays. Love Island USA seasons 4 and 5 aired “Unseen Bits” on Saturday nights that featured leftover footage that didn’t make the final cut of the regular episodes. Starting with Love Island USA season 6, “Unseen Bits” was replaced by “Aftersun,” which is when viewers can hear directly from cast members after leaving the villa. Even though the reality show is already on six days a week, clearly, fans aren’t tired of it and want even more. Maybe producers should consider bringing back “Unseen Bits,” this time on Wednesdays.
