“I Didn’t Sign Up for The Challenge” – Houseguests Upset by Competition Heavy Season
Rachel left the Big Brother house on Thursday. Rumors of the end of her game started to surface on Friday, but it wasn’t confirmed until the feeds returned later in the evening. Once Rachel’s elimination was confirmed, many fans were upset. The Big Brother alumni also had a lot to say about Rachel’s elimination.
It seemed that many fans on the outside world weren’t happy with the Big Brother 27 producer’s decision to eliminate her with a competition. However, no one seems as mad about the direction of the season as the houseguests. Not much has happened on the Big Brother live feeds this weekend. The usual ceremonies and competitions took place, but the action became a bit stagnant.
Therefore, the houseguests spent a lot of time reflecting on the state of Big Brother 27. The general consensus is that they’re not a fan of the Mastermind’s Month of Mayhem. They think it fundamentally changes the trajectory of the game. It turns Big Brother into a competition-based show.
Big Brother was built on competitions, socializing, and strategy. Rachel’s elimination due to a competition has caused so much controversy because she leaves not because she was voted out by the other houseguests, but because she couldn’t win a maze game. This isn’t the Big Brother many expected. It’s also not the TV show that the houseguests signed up to play.
Ashley has been one of the most vocal players about her frustration with this direction of the game. However, Ava and Will have also been fairly outspoken about this change in format. Morgan and Vince have also been among the Big Brother 27 players criticizing production for their decision.

Rachel’s eviction and the Big Brother Block Buster lasting basically until the finale has made players give up on trying to strategize. They think everything now comes down to whether they can win competitions. Will and Ashley have both said that they never signed up to play The Challenge.
Ashley even expressed regrets about not auditioning for Big Brother sooner. She wanted to play the game before the BB Block Buster existed. This tease of the month of madness and the BB Block Buster staying all season has made Ava, Ashley, and Will feel like their chances of winning the game have gone down a lot.
They believe they won’t be able to dominate the BB Block Buster, so they’ll just become easy to evict. They think they will join Rachel in jury soon. Ashley even went as far as to say whoever wins Big Brother 27 won’t be a true representation of their season. It will just be someone good at competitions and probably didn’t have to have the other Big Brother skills. The best player will not win this season.
As we head into the Power of Veto Ceremony later today, the houseguests will probably continue to vent their frustration about making Big Brother, so competition based this year. The houseguests even think it may be the hardest season ever, especially with all these competitions and nominations.
