Grace Ryder, a 9-1-1 dispatcher known for being calm under pressure and her strong relationships with her colleagues, has been an essential part of the series since its very first season.
According to TVLine, 9-1-1: Lone Star co-showrunner Rashad Raisani has confirmed that despite efforts to bring McClain back, she will not appear in the final season or make any cameos prior to the final season’s release, clarifying “not for lack of effort.” Scheduling conflicts and other factors are said to have ultimately prevented her return. McClain’s representatives have been contacted by TVLine for comment, and at this time only the character’s exit remains confirmed.

The final episodes of 9-1-1: Lone Star will conclude without one of its reoccurring characters, much to the production team’s dismay.
