In this Sistas video, we dive into a pivotal moment in Episode 6 as we transition into Episode 8, where Robin presents Fatima with some startling photos that seem to suggest her involvement in Gary’s stabbing. But does Robin truly believe that Fatima tried to take Gary out, or is this all part of a bigger strategy to help clear Andy’s name?

When Robin shows Fatima the photos and the infamous “wireless hole puncher” (we’re keeping it PG here), he seems to be laying out evidence that could tie Fatima to the crime. But if you ask me, I don’t believe Robin is trying to make a case against Fatima as the number one suspect. After all, Robin has always been portrayed as a neutral party in Andy’s defense, and it wouldn’t make sense for him to start shifting blame onto Fatima, especially considering their connection through Andy.

In my opinion, Robin is simply doing his job. As Andy’s lawyer, his primary focus is to build a strong case that exonerates her, which includes exploring every possible angle and potential suspect. By showing Fatima these photos, Robin is gathering intel on all the possible players involved—whether it’s Fatima, Andy, or someone else. His goal is to disprove any accusations that could be pinned on Andy. If Fatima becomes a prime suspect, her motive could be tied directly to her loyalty to Andy, but this move ultimately works in Robin’s favor. It gives him more information to clear Andy’s name and dismantle any theories that could implicate her.

Now, let’s not overlook Fatima’s relationship with Robin. Since he returned, there’s been a lot of tension between them. Fatima has been openly skeptical of Robin’s intentions, questioning his motives and his loyalty to Andy. So, I think Robin showing Fatima this “evidence” is more about setting the stage for a little payback. He’s reminding her that he’s not just Andy’s lawyer, but also someone who can play the game. He’s not necessarily accusing Fatima of being the culprit, but more so throwing this information in her face as a way to get back at her for questioning him.

At the end of the day, I don’t believe Robin genuinely thinks Fatima is behind the stabbing. If anything, he’s using this moment to his advantage to keep his options open and to keep Fatima on her toes. Ultimately, his focus is on clearing Andy, and throwing Fatima under the bus at this point wouldn’t serve his strategy. In fact, it could end up implicating Andy if Fatima gets dragged into the spotlight as a suspect.
