Danny Jones’ wife Georgia has spoken out after the McFly star was spotted kissing Maura Higgins at the BRIT Awards on Saturday night.
Georgia, who married Danny in 2014, released the latest episode of her parenting podcast just hours after reports emerged that Danny had shared a kiss with his fellow I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! campmate Maura, 34, at a BRIT Awards afterparty.
On her podcast Mum’s The Word with Kelsey Parker, Georgia and her friend discussed the importance of living in the moment and cherishing time spent with their children. Throughout the conversation, Georgia kept the focus solely on her and Danny’s son, Cooper, without mentioning her husband.
She talked about motherhood, their recent move, and even their trip to Australia to visit Danny during his stint in the I’m A Celebrity jungle, all without explicitly naming him. This comes after Danny and Maura were seen leaving an afterparty together.
They were joined at the party by celebrities such as Sam Thompson, Pete Wicks, Olivia Attwood, Calum Scott and Oti Mabuse. While Danny attended the awards at the O2 Arena with his McFly bandmate Tom Fletcher, he was the only member of his band at the glitzy afterparty, where he and Maura seemed to get very close, reports the Mirror.
At the Universal Music afterparty, Danny and Maura reportedly shared a “drunken kiss” at 180 Studios on the Strand. The Sun released footage that seems to show Danny, married to Georgia Horsley since 2014, kissing Maura as they engaged in conversation.
A source claimed to the publication that the pair “seemed to be having a great time,” noting: “They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss.”
According to the insider, Danny and Maura, who met on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity last year—a show Danny won—have developed a “seem to have a close friendship” and were “talking and laughing for ages” Reports suggest they spent around 90 minutes together at the bash while other revellers enjoyed the festivities. The source mentioned that Danny seemed to be offering Maura advice and at one point put his arm around her shoulder.
Maura, following her split from Pete Wicks, was seen resting her head on Danny’s shoulder as they chatted with friends. The source disclosed that just before 3am, Danny and Maura entered the foyer together, where their alleged kiss was captured on film.
They were then seen grinning as they left the venue with former I’m A Celebrity star Oti. An hour later, at Sony Music’s afterparty at Nobu Hotel, Danny and Maura were still laughing together.
The ex-campmates appeared to be “still grinning” and “joking about” as the night progressed into the second celebration.
McFly’s Danny has been happily married to his wife Georgia since 2014, and they share a seven year old son, Cooper. Meanwhile, Maura had recently been linked to Pete, but reports last month suggested they decided to part ways and remain friends.
