Confessions Are Coming Down the Pipeline in New ‘9-1-1’ Season 8 Images

It’s another case for the team at 9-1-1 to use more than just their skills to save a child. In other news, they really need to ban pipes because we’ve got another kid stuck in one in Season 8 Episode 6, entitled “Confessions”. The 118 are left scratching their heads about what they can do when a toddler ends up trapped in an exposed pipe, and the latest images of the episode tease the rise of an unlikely hero when something out of the ordinary needs to happen in order to rescue the kiddo. The official logline is as follows:

“When a toddler falls down a pipe and becomes trapped, the 118 must rely on more than their skills to rescue him. Meanwhile, old wounds are opened when members of the 118 race to the aid of a man dealing with a divorce.”

What Can We Expect from Episode 6 of Season 8?

The latest promo video has given us a sneak peek at the intense rescues in the upcoming episode. It teases two major incidents: one involving an older person and the other, the pipe kid. In the first scenario, Athena is in hot pursuit of a suspect who has kidnapped an elderly victim, leading them to a rooftop of a tall building under construction. Maddie monitors the situation closely and updates Athena with new information as she receives it.

Meanwhile, the 118 team responds to a scene where a toddler is trapped inside an exposed pipe in a family’s backyard. When the firefighters arrive, they’re informed by another child, “My little brother is stuck.” Bobby assesses the situation, noting that the toddler is trapped about 20 feet down the pipe. Although the pipe is large enough for a small child to enter, it’s too tight for adults, posing a unique challenge for the rescue team. Eddie, who previously managed to fit into tight spaces, tragically cannot.

As the team brainstorms options, the toddler’s older brother volunteers to go down and retrieve him, which becomes their best option. “If we don’t try this, we might not get to him in time,” Bobby warns the hesitant parents. The situation grows more urgent as the toddler slips further down the pipe, with limited breathing space and an unknown end to the pipe, raising the risk if the child continues to fall.
