Big Brother 27 started off with a bang as a group of new houseguests moved into Hotel Mystére and were greeted with competitions, twists, and the return of a Big Brother legend in a new and exciting way. Throughout Big Brother history, there have been returning houseguests who have come in to give their all in the competition a second, third, or fourth time.

Big Brother hasn’t had a returnee season in years, and when the cast was announced, it was shared that there would be 16 all-new houseguests joining the game, but BB was keeping a secret that they hid in plain sight throughout the pre-season. Big Brother 27’s hidden houseguest, a BB legend, joined the game during the shocking 90-minute season premiere.

While there were twists and turns elsewhere in the game that led to two shocking powers, a new Head Of Household, and a turn of events that no one could’ve predicted, Big Brother 27’s premiere brought back a legend and released them into the game. The houseguests, who were floored at the reveal, have to contend with someone who’s played the game twice before.

Big Brother Legend Rachel Reilly Was Released Into The Game

She’s The Actual Sixteenth Houseguest In The Game

During Big Brother 27’s 90-minute premiere, Rachel Reilly was brought into the game as the actual 16th houseguest of the season. In a twist BB has been previewing for the last week, Rachel entered the game after the first HOH competition had been played with her iconic catch phrase, telling the floaters to “grab a life vest” as she made her way down the stairs.

Rachel, who was a pre-juror on Big Brother 12 and won Big Brother 13, hasn’t been in the BB house to play since 2011, but has appeared on other reality TV shows in the interim. As a veteran of reality TV, Rachel knows how to bring the drama and is a massive BB fan. Bringing her into the game may be polarizing, but will be excellent TV.

The New Houseguests Were Met With Some New & Interesting Twists

They Played Two Competitions Before The HOH Was Crowned

Big Brother 27’s new houseguests were met with a different style of BB move in day, reminiscent of Big Brother 26. After splitting into two teams in order to find Host Julie Chen Moonves, who was taken by the Big Brother Mastermind, the houseguests had to play in two separate challenges, unlocking two powers. In the first competition, Zach Cornell won $10,000.

During the second competition, Jimmy Heagerty won the chance to choose the four houseguests who would compete for HOH. He chose to compete along with Ashley Hollis, Adrian Rocha, and Vince Panaro. Neck and neck, Vince took the HOH title over Jimmy, excited to be safe for the first week of the summer. Then, the houseguests were surprised by Rachel & a major twist.

The HOH Competition Led To The BB Mastermind Announcing Their Accomplice

Someone In The Game Is Playing To Sabotage

As Rachel made her appearance, the houseguests were shocked to learn that she was the actual 16th houseguest, and one of their own was a saboteur called the BB Accomplice. Helping out the Mastermind throughout their first hours together, the houseguests were tasked with discovering who the Accomplice was. If they were able to, the Accomplice would be immediately evicted from the house.

If the houseguests aren’t able to figure out who the BB Accomplice is, however, they’ll continue to wreak havoc on the game. As the houseguests got started trying to figure out which of their own was suspicious, things in the Big Brother house changed for good. With the return of the AI Arena, now rebranded as the BB Blockbuster competition, Big Brother is off to an exciting start.
