Ancient Aliens: Terrifying Disappearances BAFFLE Military Investigators
Perhaps the most famous or infamous of all the world’s mysterious places is the Bermuda Triangle. For decades, this stretch of ocean, covering over 500,000 square miles, located between Miami, Puerto Rico, and Bermuda, has baffled scientists, experienced sailors, and even military investigators. Planes disappearing, strange lights being seen, and a wealth of unexplained phenomena all converge in this tight corner of the Atlantic. Some ships have even shown up completely empty, with no sign of struggle, as if the crew simply vanished.
Gian Quasar: This is something that’s very real. They exist in records. And now that they’re all gone, in fair weather, that is not supernatural phenomenon to me. That is something unexplained.
Narrator: What caused ships and planes to disappear without a trace? Why has aeronautical and navigational equipment stopped working or altered course by itself? Historical records reveal that the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle are far older than many realize. Since the earliest days of ocean exploration, sailors have witnessed strange sights.
Jason Martell: Awareness of the Bermuda Triangle actually started with Christopher Columbus, a respected navigator. His log detailing his voyage to the New World is remarkably accurate. And as Columbus entered the Bermuda Triangle area, he documented compass malfunctions, saw a large fireball strike the ocean, and witnessed strange lights and phenomena.
The Bermuda Triangle’s story, therefore, isn’t a modern urban myth but dates back to the very beginning of recorded voyages. Then, on December 5, 1945, the US military experienced one of the Bermuda Triangle’s greatest mysteries. At 2 p.m., five US Navy torpedo bombers took off from Fort Lauderdale on a routine training mission. But within two hours, all five planes vanished. The mystery only deepened when a rescue plane also disappeared without a trace, bringing the total to six lost aircraft, all piloted by skilled aviators.
The question remains: where did they go? Even with radar and radio, five aircraft simply vanished. It was as though they were snapped out of our reality into something else. But what that something is remains the true mystery of the Bermuda Triangle.
Narrator: One survivor with a firsthand account of the Triangle’s power is American pilot Bruce Gernon. In 1970, while flying from the Bahamas to Florida, Gernon encountered a strange cloud that seemed to form a donut-shaped vortex. As he approached, the tunnel grew smaller, with swirling lines moving counterclockwise. His instruments malfunctioned, and he experienced an intense sensation, which he later described as an “electronic fog.”
When Gernon finally exited the tunnel, he found himself over Miami—a location he reached 30 minutes ahead of schedule, covering a distance that would have required his plane to travel at impossible speeds.
Jason Martell: According to Einstein’s theories, the bending of space through gravitational pull could enable extraterrestrial craft to travel via locations like the Bermuda Triangle. It may be possible that these energy-rich locations allow for bursts of speed and harness additional particles, enabling faster-than-normal travel.
Years later, theorist David Childress retraced Gernon’s exact route, hoping to uncover more about this mystery. During his own flight, Childress and Gernon encountered sudden turbulence and strange sensations, almost a premonition of their surroundings.
The legend of the Bermuda Triangle is filled with stories of ships and planes that have vanished without a trace. Many ancient astronaut theorists believe this vast area might host unknown energies, acting as a portal to other dimensions. Could there truly be something about the Bermuda Triangle—a portal used by extraterrestrials for travel through hyperspace?
The Bermuda Triangle is an enigma, with countless disappearances that have never been explained or even recovered. Whether by sea or by air, if an unfortunate vessel crosses at the wrong time, it may be pulled into the ocean depths or another dimension—never to be seen again.
