IS GARY FAKING THE AMNESIA?!? HE HAS BIGGER PLANS FOR ANDI?!?
Today, we’re diving deep into Gary Borders and that so convenient amnesia of his. Is it real, or is he just playing us all?
First off, let’s be real. If you’ve been watching, you know Gary’s amnesia feels a little too perfect to be believable. He’s had traumatic moments, sure, but the fact that his memory is only “foggy” when it comes to EVERYTHING—except Andrea Barnes—is a bit too much. He can remember her house, how to get there, and some quirky moments between them, but can’t recall his ex-wife Jasmine or even his kids? Hmm, that’s sus.
Gary’s played the “poor, misunderstood guy” for a while, and now he’s got a get out of jail free card in the form of amnesia. But here’s where things don’t add up: When you’re really suffering from amnesia, you’d be asking questions, trying to piece your life back together, right? But Gary? He’s just hyper-focused on Andrea. He isn’t asking anyone else about his past or trying to figure out what happened to him. No, he just wants Andrea—and that doesn’t seem like someone genuinely struggling with memory loss.
Add to that, he’s still got all his faculties—like, he managed to hop on a bike and ride across Atlanta to hide out at Andrea’s house. If you can do all that, how bad can the memory loss really be?
It’s starting to feel like Gary is strategically picking and choosing what he “remembers.” And while I’m not an expert in amnesia, I can’t help but feel like this whole act is just a way for Gary to manipulate Andrea all over again.
The timeline here doesn’t help his case either. They’ve known each other for barely a year, but somehow his memories are laser-focused on her? Gary’s only telling us what he wants us to hear—and it seems to be working on Andrea.
So, is Gary faking it? Honestly, I think he’s playing all of us. And I’m hoping it’s all an act because, if it’s true, that just makes his manipulative behavior even worse. No one was shedding tears when he got stabbed, because quite frankly, he deserved it.
