Angel Reese elated after linking up with Rihanna: “Check my IG story if y’all wanna gag rn”
Chicago Sky star forward Angel Reese couldn’t contain her excitement after meeting pop star Rihanna. Reese was at the Footwear News Achievement Awards on Wednesday night in New York when she called all her followers to check some of the snaps she shared on her Instagram.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Reese told her fans on the platform to go on her Instagram stories.
“Check my IG story if y’all wanna gag rn,” Reese tweeted.
And if you go to her Instagram stories, you can see Angel Reese meet up with Rihanna. Reese shared a couple of reels with the Grammy Award-winning singer and her rapper boyfriend A$AP Rocky.
The Footwear News Achievement Awards is considered the Academy Awards for shoes. Some of the biggest stars who attended the ceremony include Gabby Thomas, Bjorn Gulden (CEO of Adidas), Donna Karan (DKNY creator), Brooke Burke, Arne Freudt (CEO of Puma), Jean-Luc Diard (Hoka co-founder), Billie Jean King, Steve Madden, Martha Stewart, Robert Kraft and Reggie Schultz (CEO of JD Sports).
Angel Reese wins Style Influencer of the Year
One of the biggest reasons why Angel Reese is popular among her fans is her fashion sense. Reese was invited to the 2024 Met Gala and has now won the 2024 FNAA Style Influencer of the Year.
The Chicago Sky star accepted the award presented by rapper Tobe Nwigwe. Her influence has led to several other appearances in events such as CFDA Fashion Awards and the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She also has a shoe deal with Reebok, with a signature shoe coming soon.
“I’m 22 years old, I’m still figuring life out, but this is just the beginning,” Reese said at the event. “I’ll be having a signature shoe with Reebok coming out in 2026.”
Angel Reese brings luck to the New York Knicks
Since the WNBA offseason ended for Angel Reese, she has been bringing luck to some teams in the NFL and NBA. Reese first attended an LA Rams game, and they won over the San Francisco 49ers. She also went to a Chicago Bears game and they got the victory.
The same thing happened for the Baltimore Ravens, and they got two wins with her in attendance. She even went to New York City for Game 5 of the 2024 WNBA Finals, and the Liberty took home their first-ever championship.
Well, Reese was back in New York on Monday at Madison Square Garden. She was on the sidelines as the Knicks defeated the Orlando Magic 121-106 in the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup. Other teams who won with her watching live include the Chicago Bulls at the end of October.
