India Reynolds has opened up on her ’emotionally difficult’ egg freezing journey as she reveals her desire to start a family.
Last year, the Love Island star, 33, who is currently single, began freezing her eggs at King’s Fertility in London. She went on to do a second round at the beginning of this year.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, India said: ‘I’m 33 now and I’m not with anyone. And at some point I would love to have a family.
‘The first time I did it, I found it really emotionally difficult, much harder than I expected.
‘I think it does bring up a lot of feelings of, “why am I having to do this? Why am I not in a relationship?” It does shine a light on those aspects. Yeah, emotionally I found that really difficult.’

‘Then the second time I did it, I felt much more confident and it was almost like taking control of your fertility.’
If you proceed with egg freezing, the first stage of the process, known as ‘ovarian stimulation’, will start. This involves hormone injections to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs rather than the one egg that is typically and naturally released each month.
This treatment entails multiple visits to the fertility clinic over a few weeks, with your blood hormone levels and ovaries regularly monitored.
Rising numbers of celebrities have opted for the procedure, including Kourtney Kardashian and Rita Ora.
India, who shared hospital updated to social media at the time, added that the full process was ‘intense and uncomfortable’.
She continued: ‘The hormones are quite intense. You have to inject every day for about two weeks. Your body, your ovaries, well, you’re very bloated.
‘Then you have to have the procedure to remove them, which is done under sedation. Obviously when you’re recovering from that, it is quite sore and uncomfortable afterwards, so it’s probably like a good month of feeling not like yourself.

‘It is emotionally and physically quite draining. Like you probably would want to tell people around you that you’re doing it, so you have that support.’
Speaking on the outcome, India went on: ‘The first time I did it, I only got four eggs, and I was really hoping to get more and then when I did it the second time, I went in much more relaxed. I was probably in a bit of a better place and then I got 10.
‘I think focusing on your mental health while you’re doing it is really important.’
India rose to fame after appearing on season five of Love Island in 2019 alongside memorable stars like Amber Gill, Molly-Mae Hague, Tommy Fury and Maura Higgins.
She finished in third place with fan-favourite Ovie Soko , but the pair broke up in October 2019 after a few months of dating.
Teasing a return to Love Island All Stars, India told MailOnline: ‘I always think never say never. So, wait and see, and if opportunities come up, maybe.
‘But being in the villa is crazy and when you come out it’s so crazy that I don’t know if I would be up for doing that again.’
Speaking on dating after the villa, India said: ‘I think at first, having a relationship in the public eye, I found that quite intense.’

Speaking about ‘loving gorgeous lingerie’, India said: I’ve always bought way too many bras, more than I’ve ever needed. When they asked me to do the collection, I was absolutely delighted.
‘I modeled for Pour Moi for five years before I did the collection. They were one of the first brands I’ve worked with that were just so body confident and were really celebratory of all women of all sizes, which I absolutely loved. And they just kind of had something for everyone.
‘I think body confidence is definitely something that I’ve gained over time. When I was much younger modeling, I think some brands can put pressure on you or the people you’re working with. But Pour Moi was always super positive.’
