Signals take approximately 18 hours to travel one way between Earth and the spacecraft.
In 2020, communication was temporarily lost for several months due to antenna maintenance and alignment issues on Earth. When contact was restored, engineers noticed minor irregularities in telemetry data and environmental measurements.
Such irregularities are not unexpected given the spacecraft’s age and the complex interstellar environment.
