Caitlin Clark’s signature basketball, part of Wilson Sporting Goods’ new Inspire Series, sold out in under 40 minutes after going live on Monday. Retailing at $24.95, the basketballs were available in two colorways—one in black and yellow, mirroring the Iowa Hawkeyes’ colors, and another in purple with blue and yellow. While Wilson has not disclosed the exact number sold, Sports Business Journal reported sales were in the tens of thousands. Wilson anticipates restocking the basketballs in a few months and has hinted at a potential new collection next year.

David Picioski, Wilson’s head of global brand partnerships and collaborations, expressed amazement at Clark’s rapid success. “I don’t know if I can recall an athlete in recent memory who has sold at this level,” he told SBJ. He highlighted how the collaboration has been beneficial for both Clark and Wilson, stating, “We grow. She grows. The game grows. It’s a very mutually beneficial partnership.”

Clark’s rise to prominence began during her time at the University of Iowa, where she became the all-time leading scorer in NCAA Division I basketball. Her achievements extended further when she was selected as the No. 1 overall pick by the Indiana Fever in the 2024 WNBA Draft. Although still in her rookie season, Clark has already solidified her place as one of the most outstanding offensive players in WNBA history.

Among her many achievements, she has shattered the single-season rookie records for both 3-pointers and assists. Her electrifying performance on the court has made her one of the most talked-about names in women’s basketball, and her popularity continues to rise as she makes waves in the WNBA. Wilson’s collaboration with Clark underscores her growing influence in the sport, both on and off the court, as the partnership marks a major milestone in her already impressive career. With a successful rookie season and collaborations like this, Clark is not only growing her own brand but also helping to elevate women’s basketball to new heights.
