Major Shake-Up Ahead: Tyler Perry’s Sistas Might Return With An Entirely NEW Cast!

Basically, fans are wondering what will happen if Karen leaves at the end of Season 9. How will the sister circle look moving forward?

The speculation started because of the thumbnail — or more specifically, the center photo — which showed that familiar concession truck the cast always posts on the last day of filming a season. It’s kind of a tradition: a little nod to the crew and the wrap of the season. But viewers immediately noticed something: Karen and Sabrina were absent. Instead, the photo showed Fatima, Danni, Andi, and Pam. Naturally, fans were like, “Wait, what’s happening? Where’s Novi and Ebony? Are Sabrina and Karen not coming back?”

The comments section was divided. Some people argued, “No, the show has run its course. It needs to end.” That’s a pretty common thought whenever I post these kinds of videos. But other comments were more optimistic: “Keep the show going! We need more of our stories out there.” And honestly, I agree with that. Shows like Grey’s Anatomy and many others have run far past their so-called expiration date simply because they still make money. So why can’t Sistas do the same?

Do I want Sistas to end? No. But do I want it to improve? Absolutely. Shows like Zatima and Bruh underwent complete revamps with new writers, and suddenly, the characters felt fresh, the storylines engaging, and watching the show was actually fun again. That’s the kind of shake-up I think Sistas could use.

Now, I’m not saying anyone should lose their job. But some characters either need new material to grow or should be phased out to make room for new sisters. This doesn’t mean the series itself has to end. Look at Divorce Sistas: it’s separate from the original show but proves you can expand the universe while keeping the original brand intact. With careful storytelling, a new sister circle could be phased in slowly while maintaining the essence of Sistas.

And it’s worth noting that shows have done this successfully before. A Different World initially focused on Denise Huxtable, but after her departure, the show shifted focus to Dwayne, Whitley, and Ron — and it became iconic in its own right. Similarly, Disney Channel’s Bunk’d started as a spin-off of Jessie but eventually phased out the original kids, focusing on new characters. It worked beautifully. Sistas could follow the same approach.

The branding doesn’t even need to change. Keeping the title Sistas maintains continuity and fan recognition. This is why some fans feel disconnected from Divorce Sistas — it doesn’t feel like the same show. But if done right, a new sister circle could give the series fresh energy and keep it going for years, possibly 15 or 20 seasons.

Why stop there? A prequel series could explore the sisters’ college days — kind of like Young Sheldon was for The Big Bang Theory. Imagine the current cast narrating the story while viewers see how the sister circle first came together. You could even tie it into the main series, with flashbacks or storytelling moments showing the sisters reminiscing.

In the end, the Sistas universe is far from finished. Between the main show, Zatima, Divorce Sistas, and potential prequels, there’s room to grow. So, would you want to see Sistas continue with a new sister circle? Or should the series end after Season 10 to make way for something new? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Because however it evolves, there’s definitely still a story to tell. And as long as there’s content, an audience, and interesting characters, I’ll keep reviewing it. Whether it’s a revamped sister circle or a whole new group of characters, the world of Sistas isn’t done yet.
