Honestly, with only a handful of episodes left this season — about seven more, including the four airing in November — it’s easy to forget. The finale, if I remember correctly, is scheduled for November 17, which means the storylines are wrapping up fast.
Now, the third new character is Nia, portrayed by Net Marie Santiago. According to SoapCentral.com, Nia’s arrival will “shake up several friendships and test Fatima’s patience.” At first, I brushed off online rumors about Zach getting a new love interest, thinking it was just fan speculation. But when I revisited this casting news, it suddenly made sense.
For those who recognize Net Marie Santiago, she’s been in a few other Tyler Perry projects. She played the mother of the groom in Madea’s Destination Wedding — the guy who was about to marry Tiffany — and she also appeared in Ruthless as one of the kind vineyard workers at Boaz’s estate. Now, she’s joining Sistas as Nia, marking her third Tyler Perry role.
Back to Sistas: the fact that Nia’s arrival will “test Fatima’s patience” opens the door to multiple theories. Some fans speculate that she could be Andy’s new assistant, which could put strain on Fatima’s role at the firm.
