‘Love Is Blind’s Hannah Says She Can Prove Nick Lied: ‘I Have 1,000 Receipts’
Exes Hannah Jiles and Nick Dorka tried to hash it out on stage at the Love Is Blind reunion, yet there was little resolution at the end of the night. Having vastly different opinions of what happened between them, the former couple couldn’t agree on a single thing.
Now, Hannah is speaking out. She revealed to Swooon, “If I wanted to, I literally have 1,000 receipts of all the times he lied,” though the 27-year-old has decided not to share them all. However, she emphasized, “He just lies a lot about so many little things.”
She brought up his housing situation. In the pods, Nick had told Hannah that he had moved back home because he just finished up his pro football career. To try and impress her, Nick said he was “about to buy a house,” but there was a catch. He wanted to wait.
According to Hannah, Nick said he was waiting to buy a house because he wanted to get married. “That wasn’t the reality. He had always lived at home, and he wasn’t buying a house, and he hasn’t bought a house,” she said.
It bothered her that people weren’t necessarily seeing the Nick that she had gotten to know. Owning up to having had a hard time on the show and watching it back, she confessed, “I was just trying to be like, ‘Look, you lied about these things.’” However, Nick didn’t necessarily agree with many of Hannah’s statements at the reunion.
The real estate agent looked taken aback that Hannah brought up some of the claims she did, like wanting to become “the most famous person on Love Is Blind” or calling her a “5/10.” In our interview, she stressed those were just a few things she could have mentioned. There was also an actual reason why she picked those topics out for the world to hear.
“Well, he blasted me,” she explained. “I had written a journal note, in the little notebook pad that I had set aside, that he found and went through.” The Virginia native told Swooon, “I didn’t leave it out for him.” She also revealed that they first had a conversation about that off-camera, but then he brought it up on camera. Therefore, she concluded, “So I don’t really know how that’s different for me to find his.”
She continued, “It doesn’t matter what I say. I think I could bring up 1,000 things about Nick, and I don’t think anyone’s going to believe me. Even with receipts, they’ll probably think of it as a lie. So I don’t know. I just think there are a lot of things I could have said, and he’s just going to lie.”
Because of his “many little lies,” Hannah was unable to believe much of what he was saying. She doesn’t think she’ll ever get “true closure” from him. “I just don’t trust Nick that much,” she said. “I’ll never really know, and I think there’s a lot more things that he’ll never admit to, and that’s okay, but I don’t think I’ll ever really know.”
Despite the bad blood, Hannah is ready to move forward with her life. “I think this chapter is completely closed now, and we both can just move on,” she declared.
