Tyrique Hyde baffles fans with subtle dig at ex Ella Thomas in promo for Love Island Games
Reality TV star Tyrique – who is set to appear on Love Island Games – made the shock admission during a promo video for the show.
Love Island beauty Ella Thomas, 25, had an on/off relationship with Tyrique thanks to the ITV2 dating show before they split in early 2024.
Looking buffed and ready-for-action, the 26-year-old said in the video that he’s ready to crack on – and questioned whether he’s ever been in love.
The season 10 Love Island star said: “You have to be competitive in life. You compete every day, especially as a man.
“It feels good to be back. It’s been a while. Let’s get this show on the road.”
He continued: “I’m Tyrique. I’m 26 years old and I’m from Love Island UK season 10.
“I walked in on day one, coupled up with Ella, made her my girlfriend, got all the way to the final and ended up coming third.
“And yeah, I had a blast on my first season, but I feel like we had a very good task. This time might be a little bit different.”
He shared: “I am very competitive because I used to play soccer, as you lot call it. I’ll step on toes. I don’t care.”
He rated himself: “Agility, 7. Pace, 8. Flirting, 10.”
He also admitted: “I feel like I’ll be the best at getting the most women.
“Yeah, I do love snogging. You can tell a lot about someone by the way they kiss. We call it lipsing back home.
He confessed: “I don’t know if I’ve been in love or not. People ask me, was you in love?
“I don’t know. I want to be romantic and I’ll be open to finding someone.
“This is really deep and serious. So let’s see what’s going on. Ready? let’s have it.
Surprised fans commented: “Oh wow. Why try to downplay his love for his first gf like it never happened? Maybe he actually wasn’t ever in love but just thought he was because of the Love Island environment that heightens everything. Or maybe he’s just a petty douche.”

Last year The Sun revealed Ella and Ty had split for good after breaking up and getting back together.
Reality star Ella has since confirmed she’s found love with Charlton Athletic footballer Lloyd Jones.
