Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Will Karen Ask Dr. Vaughn To Conduct Another DNA Test On Faith?

Hey, Sisters fans! In the promo for next week, we see Karen unexpectedly going to see Dr. Vaughn. This really makes me curious—why is she going, and how did she even get there? But one thing she says caught my attention: “Listen, doctor, I don’t want to say anything that could be misunderstood.”

It seems like this scene happens after Andy stops by Karen’s place to talk about the lawsuit she’s pursuing against Dr. Cruz. As we know, Karen isn’t the first patient affected by Dr. Cruz’s negligence—she almost lost her life and the babies. Like Andy said, “I thought I lost you and those babies that day at the hospital.”

So beyond the lawsuit, there’s a lot going on with Karen’s situation. Looking at Karen’s character and her tone in this clip, it feels like she’s being very careful not to be misunderstood.

I’ve thought of a few possible reasons why Karen might be at the hospital with Dr. Vaughn:

  1. It could simply be a routine checkup after her C-section. Dr. Vaughn might want to make sure she’s healing properly and doing okay physically.

  2. Another possibility is that Karen wants to talk to Dr. Vaughn about the DNA test results for the babies. She might be doubting whether the tests are accurate—especially about the surviving baby, Faith—and could be asking if they are really Zach’s child.

If Dr. Vaughn confirms the results are accurate, Karen might then ask for another DNA test on Faith to be sure she isn’t Zach’s baby instead. I know this sounds a bit grim, but Karen’s recent behavior is worrying and shows she might still be in denial or confused.

If the second test confirms Faith is Aaron’s child, I wouldn’t be surprised if Karen considers giving full custody to Aaron or even putting Faith up for adoption. Based on Karen’s character and recent actions, it feels like she’s using “not wanting to make a mistake” as an excuse to avoid facing the painful truth.

I want to emphasize I’m not underestimating what Karen has gone through. As a man, I can’t imagine the mental, emotional, and physical toll on a woman like Karen after pregnancy, childbirth, and losing a baby. But looking at her actions, it seems like she hasn’t fully accepted this new reality and might be struggling to “snap back” to it.

Another possibility is Karen is talking to Dr. Vaughn about the Dr. Cruz situation after speaking with Andy. But given her careful wording—“I don’t want to say anything that could be misunderstood”—and the potential request for another DNA test, it feels like she’s caught in emotional turmoil.

Looking at the mid-season finale synopsis, where all the sisters put their burdens aside because one of them goes missing, I think it’s very possible Karen might “snap” after seeing the DNA results. If Faith is Aaron’s baby and the “stillborn forever” was Zach’s, that could break Karen emotionally and lead her to disappear because she can’t handle losing the baby she thought was Zach’s.

I don’t think she’ll cause trouble for Zach or Fatima, but Karen suddenly vanishing seems quite plausible.

So, what do you think? Will Karen’s meeting with Dr. Vaughn be about the lawsuit against Dr. Cruz, or is it about the DNA test and possibly giving up the baby? Given Karen’s character, anything could happen.
