Brendon Villegas Defends Wife Rachel Reilly After Shocking Big Brother 27 Cheating Accusations
Rylie told Keanu that Rachel was trying to cheat during the Big Brother 27 week 3 HOH competition. Keanu said that he knew, while Rylie marveled and laughed in disbelief that production didn’t kick her out. Keanu stated that Rachel was writing notes on cards, including numbers, and Rylie added that production took them away from her.
The Big Brother 27 live feeds are down for almost every competition, so fans were unable to see what actually happened during the week 3 HOH competition, and what Keanu and Rylie were referring to. CBS could potentially air the incident on the Sunday, July 27 episode, during which the HOH competition results will be revealed.
After hearing that his wife, Big Brother 27 houseguest Rachel Reilly was accused of cheating during the week 3 Head of Household (HOH) competition, Brendon Villegas jumped to her defense.
In an Instagram Live video, Brendon addressed the rumors that Rachel cheated during the HOH competition, but he didn’t seem to know that it was Keanu and Rylie who accused her, instead calling reports about the alleged incident, “clickbait.” Brendon defended Rachel, insisting that she’d never cheat in Big Brother because she loves the game too much.
Brendon said, “I had to go live because I did want to address a rumor that I just saw online that some of my BB alum friends let me know [about] that Rachel was being accused of cheating on Big Brother, which is insane.“
Brendon said that “somebody said that Rachel was apparently accused of writing notes during the HOH competition and then had to turn them in afterwards. Like this is absolutely garbage.” Brendon added that Rachel would never cheat because they’re “honest Big Brother players. We don’t cheat. And she believes in the game. And she’s a Big Brother purist.”
Brendon also stated that production would’ve confiscated anything from Rachel’s suitcase that wasn’t allowed in the house. He said, “Apparently, people don’t know how Big Brother works. So, first of all, when you have your suitcase, anything you put in your suitcase, they go through to make sure that you’re not taking stuff in the Big Brother house that you’re not supposed to have.”
Brendon also pointed out that, during the HOH competitions, production often has to start and stop filming, and competitions that only last ten minutes on TV could actually be an hour long. He said that he’d have to imagine that Rachel would have been writing notes in front of the other players for that whole time, and no one would have said anything. Brendon also stated that it’s impossible that production and the cameras didn’t see it while filming, so “this is just BS.”
Brendon concluded by saying, “So, you know, believe what you guys want to believe, but my wife is a Big Brother legend for a reason. She’s not going to cheat. So, like I said, who’s ever saying this is full of it. They’re trying to get clicks. It’s clickbait.”
What Keanu & Rylie Accusing Rachel Of Cheating Means For Big Brother 27
Brendon Is Right That It Doesn’t Seem Possible
Although Brendon didn’t have all of the facts straight about Rachel being accused of cheating because no one said that she brought in a pen and paper, but rather it seemed that Keanu and Rylie were saying that she used cards during the HOH game to take notes, his defense of her does make sense.
It seems impossible that Rachel would be caught cheating by production with no consequence, or that she’d get away with it because no one saw it at all. Brendon is also right that Rachel loves Big Brother too much to cheat. She’s a legend of the game who doesn’t need to resort to such tactics in order to win competitions.
Our Take On Brendon Defending Rachel Against Cheating Accusations
Keanu & Rylie Shouldn’t Have Accused Rachel
While it’s hard to know exactly what happened during the Big Brother 27 week 3 HOH competition without footage to watch, I imagine that Keanu and Rylie thought that Rachel was using cards from the game to write down notes, and production confiscated them from her. However, this might not even be true. Also, Rylie’s laughing could mean that it wasn’t that big of a deal.
It seems impossible that production would let any houseguest, even Rachel, get away with cheating. Whatever happened, Keanu and Rylie shouldn’t have accused Rachel of cheating if production didn’t think that whatever happened was bad enough to give her a penality or remove her from the game. In addition, I’d think that the other houseguests would be in an uproar if Rachel cheated without a consequence, especially because it’d be an easy way to evict her.
I hope that whatever Keanu and Rylie thought they saw is explained on the show in order to clear Rachel’s name. I’m a big fan of hers, but I know that she also has a lot of haters who would be happy to believe that she cheated. I’m glad that Brendon jumped to her defense in order to protect her reputation. I believe that Rachel loves Big Brother too much to ever cheat during a competition.
