Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Crystal Sings A Tune With Usher & He Recognizes Tyler Perry In The Crowd

Baby, nobody, nobody sing what? No, nobody. Baby, yeah man, there’s many, many sides to ATL. You got a chance to see a little bit of legacy. As I said, this is the past, present, and future that we are celebrating—all the music, all the amazing, remarkable things that have been born and also nourished here.

Ladies and gentlemen, the icon right here, Mr. Tyler Perry. Oh, uh, I heard, yeah, so recently I believe Usher did a show in Atlanta, and, uh, you know, this was on Instagram, circulating around. You have Crystal singing, I believe… hang on, my 90s brain is tingling. “Nobody”—isn’t that Keith Sweat? I think Usher was singing Keith Sweat, and Crystal sang a few lines as well. Then Usher took a moment to recognize Tyler Perry too, which is pretty cool.

If I’m not mistaken, I think Usher performed a couple of years back at… what was it? Dang it, it was at Tyler Perry Studios, wasn’t it? Like a Juneteenth thing. I know it was during the summer or something, and it was a huge party. Yeah, this was right before Zima came out too. This was when we got our first look at the promotional photo for the show.

Yeah, it was basically like a who’s who of Tyler Perry cast members and the people who work at the studio. And yeah, it was a huge Juneteenth event. It had Usher and several other performers—it was a huge thing. And I think it’s cool to see Usher and Tyler Perry back together again at one of Usher’s shows—that was pretty cool.

And yeah, I just wanted to do a quick video to talk about this because I just love seeing it. I believe Eva Marcille, Devale, and Kadeem were there as well. And yeah, probably a lot of other people. Because remember, this took place in ATL, so who knows how many other people from the shows and whatnot were in attendance throughout the stadium.
