“I couldn’t believe all the cheering. I didn’t have high hopes, but they have been funny and revealing people,” he said.
After hearing who nominated him for eviction, Daley replied: “None of that surprises me because they’re all rats.”
Daley took issue with being accused of not doing any cleaning in the house, which Patsy placed as one of her reasons for nominating him.
“The person who said I don’t do any washing up, that’s so not true. I promise you on my child’s life. Every day I washed up and I made tea for everyone,” he claimed.
Asked what he brought to the house, Daley replied: “I was chatting to everybody, offering everyone advice if they wanted to exercise. I was genuinely just trying to be friendly with everybody.”
Upon hearing that he hadn’t received any nominations prior to Thursday’s episode (April 17), Daley said ‘they could see he was a threat’.
One person who was left upset by Daley’s exit was TOWIE star Ella Rae Wise, who broke down in tears upon hearing he was up for eviction.
“She’s like a young daughter. She is so lovely. There a few people override her because they think talking loud makes you right… you know who I’m talking about,” Daley said.
Going on to talk about drag queen Danny Beard, Daley said: “Danny is absolutely fantastic, I love the man. The only problem is sometimes he doesn’t have enough self awareness.
“He always jumps in because he always has an answer. He’s always the loudest person because he’s at work 24 hours a day. He’s brilliant, but sometimes he needs to pull back a little bit.”
Saying that ‘there’s nothing wrong with debate’ and he’s ‘always prepared to change someone’s mind’, Daley had his say on people potentially playing games.
“I wasn’t trying to win, it was not something I had control over. All I could do is try to be the person I am. If you look at all the people in there, they’re all performative artists and there’s some people who are professional reality stars.
“If you do that all the time, you know how to play the game. It is a game, people are trying to win. Some people are trying much harder than others,” he claimed.
