The pictures also show Peter Krause’s Bobby Nash and Anirudh Pisharoy’s Ravi Panikkar taking lead in the bio lab while the rest of their teammates are affected by the virus. Karen Wilson (Tracy Thoms) also takes on a pivotal role in the episode as she helps Athena and Buck come up with a plan to save Chimey and the others before it’s too late.
The trailer for the upcoming episode features Chimney telling the others that he is “running out of time,” as someone on the outside declares that his organs are failing. The clip also shows Athena scrambling to find an antidote that can help Chimney while Buck is concerned about putting others at risk to save him. “Lab Rats” picks up directly after Episode 14, which ended on a cliffhanger as Chimney called home and told his wife that he wasn’t going to be home for dinner.
Oliver Stark Reveals the Original Plan for the Two-Episode Thriller Storyline
According to Stark, “Lab Rats” is one of those episodes where the hard work of the entire team shows. “They really put in a lot,” he expressed. The actor claimed that while shooting the episode, he couldn’t believe that such an intense production and storyline was going to be aired on network television.
9-1-1 has officially been renewed for a ninth season with an 18-episode order. The show joins other ABC fan-favorites that have been picked up for the network’s 2025-26 lineup. The list includes Grey’s Anatomy, The Rookie, and Shifting Gears. This leaves the medical drama, Doctor Odyssey, as the only show on ABC with its future hanging in the air.
