Love Island UK’s Tommy Fury answers questions about whether he cheated on Molly-Mae Hague during live TV interview

It’s been two months since Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury’s shock split devastated Love Island fans around the world, but speculation about their break-up has certainly not died down.

This week, Tommy, 25, appeared on UK morning show This Morning to promote his memoir, Lightning Can Strike Twice: My Life as a Fury, which was released on October 10.

Presenter Ben Shephard asked Tommy how he was feeling after “a turbulent few months” and asked the boxer about fan speculation that infidelity had caused the break-up.

“I’m feeling good, it doesn’t take a genius to work out it’s been very tough for me, it’s been very hard at times, but at the end of the day I’ve just been knuckling down with my training, taking my daughter to ballet, swimming and whatever else. Just been keeping myself busy and of course the book,” Tommy replied.

Following Molly-Mae’s break-up announcement, fans were quick to speculate that Tommy had cheated during the relationship.

“There’s been a lot of critics out there, there will be critics out there till the day I die, everyone will point their finger when there’s a bandwagon to jump on but at the end of the day out of respect to Molly, out of respect to myself and our relationship and to us, I’m going to let us deal with that in private as much as we can”, Tommy said on This Morning.

However, the TV host pressed the boxer further as Tommy outright denied cheating in a last-minute final chapter to his book.

“I added a last chapter in there and what I did was I talked about all my feelings leading up and how I felt during this time,” Tommy explained. “I felt freely in the book to speak so that’s why I added the last chapter in to keep everybody up to date.”

He added: “Me and Molly and Bambi are a family unit, and we’re going to tackle this in private.”
