What Happened to Love is Blind’s Brittany Dodson After Her Break Up With Devin Buckley? (She Also Got Engaged)

Love is Blind season 8 featured many connections, including Brittany Dodson (a.k.a. B.Dot) and Devin Buckley’s fleeting romance—but what happened to Brittany after they broke things off? Although their relationship didn’t work out, Brittany actually got engaged to another cast member. While the Netflix series showcased five engagements, a few connections and even cast members didn’t make it into the final cut—including Brittany and Mo Ndiaye’s pod dates, which eventually led to their engagement. However, they weren’t the only couple left out of the show.

Sparks flew between Kylie Schuelke and Brian Sumption, and they are rumored to still be together, even though they weren’t invited to Honduras. Instead, audiences were shown a so-called “love rhombus” between Madison Errichiello, Mason Horacek, Meg Fink, and Alex Brown—one that ultimately led to nowhere. Meanwhile, Brittany and Mo’s engagement was only revealed after the show premiered, raising the question: Are Brittany and Mo still together after leaving the pods?

Brittany’s Journey in the Pods

A Connection That Didn’t Last Long

During her time in the pods, Brittany was drawn to 29-year-old youth director and coach, Devin. His passion for basketball matched her love for the sport, especially when he revealed that he also coached a high school girls’ basketball team. Meanwhile, Devin was also pursuing 34-year-old Virginia Miller, who was different from his usual type of woman—i.e., an athlete like Brittany. Despite his other connection, Devin and Brittany appeared to be deepening their relationship, especially when Devin confided in Brittany about his past struggles with painkiller abuse.

However, their bond took a turn for the worse after Brittany opened up to Devin about her sexuality. She explained that while she never envisioned herself in a serious relationship with a woman, she had experiences with women, and it was ultimately part of her identity. Devin’s apprehensive reaction didn’t sit well with Brittany, and the two eventually went their separate ways. The pair reunited in episode 11, where Brittany told Devin that she felt his response was immature—but in the end, things worked out as they were meant to.

Brittany and Mo’s Quick But Intense Spark

The Pair Were Briefly Engaged

Although it may have seemed that Brittany’s time in the pods was over after ending things with Devin, audiences later learned that she had made another connection—with 35-year-old Mo. TikTok creator Rikki (@StoryTimeWithRikkii) revealed in a clip that the duo bonded over their heritage, quoting a highly reliable source. According to the source, “They had great conversations in the pods about their heritages (Senegalese vs. African American) so he was well aware that [Brittany] was black.”

However, the source also claimed that Mo failed to disclose that he had only dated white women before—yet still proposed to Brittany. Despite their engagement, Brittany suggested they give up their spot in Honduras and take the time to get to know each other back home. According to the source, things quickly went south, saying, “One day on a date, [Brittany] found out that he had exclusively dated white women and said he wasn’t sure he would ever be able to ‘get there’ with a Black woman, so she ended the engagement.”

“I am far from perfect but context is important in all of this…as far as who broke up with who…well I’ll leave that one alone no need to go there.”

But the drama didn’t end there. In an Instagram reel of Rikki’Reality Receipts Podcast (@realityreceiptspod), she revealed that Mo had also been accused of being “problematic.” Mo pushed back against these claims, commenting under the clip, “problematic? And who ended what?” Fellow Molly Mullaney responded, alleging, “you were telling me weeks ago how bad you felt about them.” Mo later replied in another lengthy comment, writing, “everybody got their side but i know my truth.” These comments have since been deleted.

Why Love Is Blind Fans Needed To See Their Story

A Love Story Unlike Any Other in the Experiment

Even with their short-lived romance, Brittany and Mo’s story should have been included in Love is Blind. Their journey reveals a more realistic side of dating—the kind of authenticity viewers expect out of the experiment. After breaking things off with Devin and later with Mo, both of whom seemingly went against her values, it’s clear how seriously Brittany took the process. Yet, fans were deprived of seeing this, and were subjected to the same recycled storylines that they have come to expect.

Redditor @CuriousCatNYC777 posted pictures of the couple with the caption, “We were robbed. Very disappointing that this was not shown.” Many comments in the thread echoed this sentiment, praising Brittany for her dedication and strong-willed character as she searched for the one. Given Mo’s controversial remarks, his exclusion from the show seemed justified, but it also meant cutting a unique and unfiltered dating experience—one that reflects the real challenges Black women face in relationships. Therefore, Netflix’s decision to omit Love Is Blind Brittany and Mo’s relationship only adds to the fans’ frustration with this season.
