Truth behind Grace’s leaked messages amid claims Love Island star faked them

ITV’s Love Island: All Stars may be over and the 2025 winners crowned, but the drama is certainly not over.

Several fans claimed to have uncovered the truth behind Olivia Hawkins’ accusations that Grace Jackson was playing a game to win and the alleged direct messages between the runner-up and another ex-Islander saying she’d do “anything to win”.

Grace Jackson and Luca Bish lost out on the All Stars win as Gabby Allen and Casey O’Gorman scooped the top prize for the series. The winning couple looked completely surprised on Monday night when they won over the dubbed Barbie and Ken pair, and fan favourite Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, who came third with new boyfriend Curtis Pritchard.

One episode prior, dumped Islanders were brought back into the villa to vote out the last couple to leave before the big final. As Harriet Blackmore and Ronnie Vint were voted off – a warning from Liv left viewers needing answers to what has been the biggest drama of the entire series. Liv took the opportunity to warn Luca – the boy she set her sights on, along with Kaz Kamwi and Samie Elishi – that she had seen DM’s sent from Grace that stated the blonde bombshell would do “whatever it takes to win”.

Liv said: “So I’ve seen text messages of Grace just saying to someone that she’ll do whatever it takes to win the show this time from someone back home,” which caused an uproar from Grace and Harriet who stood by her best friend, insisting that Grace would never be the type to play games. Grace strongly denied the claims but fans doubted her denial when former Islander Mitch Taylor shared a screenshot of the alleged conversation on his Snapchat.

Including her name and profile picture, the screenshot shows Grace allegedly saying, “Aww thank you babe. I will win this time! I’ll do anything to”. Mitch also posted a screen recording of the messages, going onto the users profile to confirm it was Grace’s account. In another twist – but not until after Gabby and Casey scooped the Love Island: All Stars crown – Mitch admitted the screenshots could be fake.

He wrote on Snapchat: “I don’t know who the receipts are from, I got sent it loads all I know is Casey and Gabby won”. Mitch is then said to have taken part in an Instagram live, in which the Islander is said to have confessed to faking the DMs himself – a claim which he has since denied.

One user and Love Island fan shared a TikTok video and said: “Messy Mitch has confessed on a live stream last night that he faked the whole messages with what Liv was saying about Grace saying she wants to win.” While another fan said on X: “Messy Mitch lying about the grace texts to help his mate win is wild btw and admitting it right after Casey won is even wilder. I know Grace is gonna get him #loveislandallstars”.

Luca and Grace at final

Grace remained adamant over the texts not being from her, calling Liv Hawkins out at the final to partner Luca’s delight

However, Mitch has since taken to his social media once again to insist he did not create the alleged fake DMs – and said he was sent them. Writing on his Instagram story Mitch insisted: “Afternoon, guys I was gonna let this one naturally die down, but I can’t let lies drag me even more. I’ve said on my Snapchat I got sent the screen recording so respectfully stop saying I made them.”

The star has since turned the comments off on his recent Instagram share following the fallout of the allegations. And a representative for Mitch told the Mirror: “Mitch shared something he got sent and asked his followers if it was real or fake. Nothing more or out of the ordinary for social media.”
