Will Andi Threaten To Leave The Firm & Take ALL of Her Clients With Her?

Alright, Sister fans, I have to give a shout-out to one comment that really stood out. It was in response to the trailer breakdown I did, which has done surprisingly well, and I just want to thank everyone for supporting that video. Strangely enough, when I did the trailer breakdown for Episode 18, it didn’t even hit 3,000 views, but this latest one has surpassed 10,000 views! That’s incredible, and I truly appreciate it. I know that breakdown was probably one of the longest I’ve done, almost 22 minutes, but I had a lot to say.

But back to the comment. Someone mentioned that Andy might have been calling all the clients she brought to the firm, and her threatening to walk could mean they’ll follow her. I really like this take—it’s a great angle. But then Fatima showing up with a baseball bat just kind of ruins the message. I have to agree with this sentiment.

Now, let’s talk about the upcoming episode. The scene from Episode 17 where Andy is on the phone rallying her clients’ support is, in my opinion, the best Andy scene of the season so far. It’s a fantastic buildup. She’s reminding the partners what she’s done for the firm, and if she were to leave, she could take all of her clients with her. That would have been a huge blow to the firm, considering Andy is one of their top earners—if not the top earner. Hayden’s a close second, but he’s no Andy.

If Andy walks, she takes a huge chunk of the firm’s revenue with her. And let’s not forget, Hayden controls her case load, so making those calls to her clients is a way to ensure they stick with her. They trust her judgment, and many of them have won cases under her, so they’d definitely follow her. Now, that would’ve been a much stronger storyline. But, like the comment said, Fatima with the bat just messes everything up. It takes what could have been a huge power move and turns it into more of a hostile takeover, which is a complete shift in tone.

I’m honestly not on the fence about this at all. I stand firmly on the side that the writing makes it seem like we’re supposed to root for Andy as she takes back what’s hers. But in reality, she’s been suspended from the firm due to the murder investigation, and until her name is cleared, it’s not in the firm’s best interest to have her back.

You know, looking at it from the angle of how Zach’s been benched for most of the past couple of seasons, why not apply the same logic to Andy? Restrict her from doing too much until the investigation is cleared up. Then, she can return and restore the balance of power, rather than having her be portrayed as a whiny character demanding everything.

What really kills the mood for me is that this could have been such an epic moment, where Andy steps up, puts her foot down, and demands what’s hers or she walks, taking all her clients with her. That would have made sense. But instead, she’s just been whining all season, acting unprofessional, and it feels like she’s being rewarded for it. It reminds me of Season 2, when she became managing partner after the whole fiasco with Gary and the scam. It didn’t feel like a victory because it was tied to an affair, and now it’s the same thing here.

It almost feels like she’s being rewarded for bad behavior. Personally, I think the ultimate power move would have been for Andy to start her own firm. That would have been the real epic moment, in my opinion. What do you think? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
