One ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8 Cast Member Lost the Perfect Happily Ever After
As much as we wanted to shake him out of his fear, he should have gone all-in on Meg and let Madison go from the jump. She had Alex. But Mason neglected the fact that the women would potentially compare notes in the living quarters. And that’s what they did. We all want to be wanted. We all want to be chosen. So when Meg learned that she wasn’t chosen outright and was more or less a default option, she was out. Gone was the happily ever after Mason dreamed of.
Poor Mason!
So, let’s backtrack a bit. Mason’s two options in the experiment were Meg and Madison. He didn’t know what else was going on outside of his dates. All he knew was he had similar yet different connections with both women. Now, the trouble with Love Is Blind is also a reflection of dating in the real world. Yes, it’s normal to date multiple people at once. In the pods, it’s just amplified and exacerbated to a point that brings added pressure. You’re not dating and letting your closest loved ones know about how it’s proceeding. You’re doing this for all the world to see. Failure is not an option.
Did Madison Ruin Mason’s Future?

Mason was easily one of the sweetest people this season. You wanted to see him walk out happy. Instead, he looked like a poor puppy left out in the rain. His failure in this experiment is a reminder that being open in the pods is crucial, but there has to be a bit of protection for oneself. It was okay to have close connections with two women. As he learned the hard way, he just needed to be honest with himself faster. If Meg really was his person, Madison had to go sooner. In turn, Madison should have let Mason off the hook when she knew Alex was the one. But there is a silver lining to the situation. The teaser for the season sees a pod squad reunion of some sort featuring Mason and Meg. Is there hope outside the pods? The positive now is Mason is available, ladies!
