Tyler Perry’s Zatima | Zac Doesn’t Want To Know If Fatima Gets Attacked In The Future
Throughout Zatima Season 3, many scenes sparked debate, but in my opinion, the bathroom scene between Zac and Fatima at the beginning of Episode 16 is one of the worst moments. This was the final straw that made me seriously consider giving up on the show.
1. When Zac Is Dismissed
The scene opens with Fatima sitting on the toilet, looking uninterested, while Zac tries to talk to her about how she left him in jail. Instead of having a serious discussion, Fatima avoids the topic, forcing Zac to follow her into the bathroom. This is what frustrates me: why is it that when Fatima wants to talk, Zac has to drop everything and listen, but when Zac has something important to say, she just ignores him?
2. Inconsistent Writing for Zac
One of the biggest weaknesses of this scene is Zac’s sudden change in behavior. In previous episodes, he was furious when Fatima was assaulted. Yet suddenly, in this episode, he takes the blame without any resistance. This makes his character feel shallow, as if he’s just a puppet controlled by the script.
What’s worse, Zac even says something that completely disappointed me: “Next time, if this happens, don’t tell me.” That makes no sense! Fatima was against Angela calling the police, but now she’s advising Zac to let law enforcement handle everything? This kind of contradictory writing weakens the credibility of the characters.
3. Is Fatima Always Right?
One major issue in Zatima Season 3 is that everything seems to revolve around Zac having to comply with Fatima’s wishes. This scene is a perfect example: Zac is only “accepted” when he apologizes and admits fault, while Fatima faces no criticism for her inconsistent actions.
Had Zac reacted more strongly, Fatima would have likely dismissed him and refused to listen. But because he apologized, she was willing to continue the conversation. This kind of writing makes their relationship feel imbalanced and unrealistic.
4. A Dangerous Message
The message in this scene is extremely problematic: if you’re a man, just obediently do what your woman wants, or she’ll leave you. And if a woman is in danger, it’s better to keep it to herself rather than seek support from her partner. This is a toxic lesson that no one should take seriously.
5. Comedy Doesn’t Save the Scene
It seems the show tried to insert humor—like Zac jumping on the bed or chasing Fatima into the bathroom—to mask the weak storytelling. However, this only made the scene feel more ridiculous.
Conclusion
This scene is one of Zatima Season 3’s most disappointing moments—not just because of its shallow character development but also because of the harmful message it conveys. A healthy relationship should be built on balance and open communication, not one person constantly catering to the other.
