Love Island fans have been closely observing Luca Bish on the new All Star series and are beginning to speculate that he’s not too keen on being part of the latest instalment.
The buzz around the much-anticipated dating programme soared as it launched on Monday, with Maya Jama taking the reins as host.
With former stars from past seasons returning for another shot at love, anticipation has been high. Yet, despite the intriguing dynamics and awkward exchanges, it’s Luca’s attitude that’s drawing attention from viewers at their homes.
Judging by his subdued aura during Wednesday night’s show (January 15), some fans feel he seems distinctly out of place.
Voicing their opinions on social media platform X, one commenter pointed out: “Why is luca in the villa? He hates it there.”
Echoing this sentiment, another observer remarked: “Sorry, but Luca makes me so uncomfortable,” reports Wales Online.
Additional feedback from fans included: “Luca looks like he didn’t want to be there in the first place! He always looks so p****d and he’s coming across so so dry and arrogant! ” and “I saw somewhere saying Luca dont want to be there, nah i agree that man wants out.”
In a similar vein, another viewer expressed disappointment in the show’s direction, saying: “I’m just going to say it: Love Island casting directors and ITV are missing the mark. This year I don’t think they’re interested in islanders finding love. They just want ratings at this point and they are forcing it.”
During Wednesday’s episode, Luca was in a spot of bother as Olivia Hawkins shed tears over his behaviour.
Olivia, who is paired with Luca after the audience placed them together, was visibly distressed when she discovered that Luca hadn’t picked her during a dare game and had neglected to communicate with her prior to the challenge.
Luca, puzzled by Olivia’s emotional reaction, comforted her later on, while also pointing out that their time in the villa had been short.
The next day, it seemed Olivia got the message, as she was spotted cosying up to Marcel.
However, the budding romance left some fans unconvinced, with one commenting online: “I need to walk out of the room because this conversation between Marcel and Olivia is so awkward, and I’m cringing hard.”
