Tyler Perry’s Zatima | Fatima’s Hypocrisy Knows No Bounds

The recent episode of Sisters Season 7, Episode 13, left fans with a strong sense of frustration, particularly regarding the portrayal of Fatima. The episode, written by Tyler Perry, depicted Fatima in a way that many viewers found hypocritical and infuriating. The dynamic between Zach and Fatima, once a highlight of the show, seems to have taken a toxic turn, especially when it comes to Fatima’s attitude toward Zach’s struggles.

In the episode, Fatima’s desire for Zach to “suffer” after his actions is troubling. Zach may have made mistakes in the past, but there’s a clear difference between wanting someone to learn a lesson and wanting them to endure unnecessary pain. Fatima’s actions seem to show a lack of empathy, especially when she willingly allows Zach to remain in jail for a crime he didn’t commit. Despite her apparent frustration with him, viewers feel that she should have taken more immediate action to get him out, rather than dragging her feet out of a sense of needing to “think things over.”

The hypocrisy is apparent, especially considering Fatima’s past actions. She’s often quick to criticize Zach, but when the tables are turned, she doesn’t hold herself to the same standards. Fans of the show are finding it harder to sympathize with her character, as her motivations seem to be driven by pride and bitterness rather than a desire for growth or healing.

Zach and Fatima’s relationship was once compelling because it showed two imperfect individuals working through their past issues and finding healing together. However, with Fatima’s recent behavior, it’s becoming one of the most toxic relationships on the show. Even when help came from unexpected sources like Nate and Bryce, Fatima’s refusal to act compassionately toward Zach is difficult to overlook.

As the series progresses, it’s unclear whether this relationship can be salvaged. Fans are questioning whether there’s any way back for Zach and Fatima, given the deepening rift between them. Ultimately, it’s hard to reconcile the Fatima viewers once admired with the character we see now—a woman unwilling to show the same kindness and understanding she expects from others.
