9-1-1: Lone Star is just weeks away from returning!
The Fox drama will be back with it’s fifth season this fall, and it was recently announced that it will be the last after much speculation on the show’s future.
Ahead of the season premiere, we have gathered everything there is to know about the upcomign episodes, including the trailer, the synopsis, which stars are returning, who is not returning and who has been promoted.

9-1-1: Lone Star will return on Monday, September 23rd at 8pm ET. You can check out the first look trailer above!
Here’s a synopsis: Settling into his new home, T.K. caught the eye of police officer Carlos Reyes and the two began a romantic relationship eventually marrying in the Season Four finale. T.K hung up his firefighter helmet to become a full-time paramedic under Tommy’s guidance and works closely with fellow paramedic Nancy Gillian. In the upcoming fifth season, Captains Strand and Vega, along with the 126 team, race into action when in a multi-episodic opening storyline, a catastrophic train derailment endangers several lives including some of their own. With Judd resigning from the 126 to take care of his recently handicapped son Wyatt, Owen must find a new lieutenant to replace Judd and has a difficult decision ahead of him when both Marjan and Paul apply for the promotion. Tommy is ready to take the next step in her relationship, but she finds the road to happiness is filled with obstacles. On his 30th birthday, T.K. gets a surprise visit from someone from his past that could change his and Carlos’ lives forever. Now officially husband and husband, T.K. and Carlos’ marriage is put to the test when Carlos becomes obsessed with solving his father’s murder.
Rob Lowe – RETURNING
Rob Lowe is returning for season five, reprising his starring role of Captain Owen Strand. In addition to starring, Rob is also an executive producer.
Back in August, Rob addressed the future of 9-1-1: Lone Star, and said they “pretty much” knew it was going to end.
Gina Torres – RETURNING
Gina Torres is returning to the series for it’s fifth season. She portrays Captain Tommy Vega on the drama series.
Gina celebrated the renewal news. “In case you haven’t heard…YEAH BABY YEAH!!!! 🥂💃🏽💃🏽 Game on Season 5!! @911lonestar #onlyloveisreal❤️” she wrote on Instagram.
Ronen Rubinstein – RETURNING
Ronen Rubinstein is set to return for the show’s fifth season, reprising his character Tyler Kennedy “TK” Strand. TK married Carlos in the season four finale, and Ronen also celebrated the renewal news back in May 2023.

Brianna Baker – RETURNING
Brianna Baker is set to return as Nancy Gillian!
Natacha Karam – RETURNING
While there was speculation that she was leaving the show after season four, Natacha Karam will in fact reprise her role of Marjan Marwani in season five!
She celebrated the show’s renewal in May 2023. “Hey hey hey!
So as most of you know by now- Lonestar was picked up for a season 5- YAY 🙏🏼 very grateful for all that is my life right now,” she wrote on Instagram.
Brian Michael Smith – RETURNING
Brian Michael Smith is returning as Paul Strickland.
Rafael Silva – RETURNING
Rafael Silva is returning for season five as Carlos Reyes, after the character tied the knot in the season four finale.
Julian Works – RETURNING
Julian Works is confirmed to reprise his role of Mateo Chavez.
Jim Parrack – RETURNING
There were questions on if Jim Parrack would return for season five after his character Judd Ryder retired from the department at the end of season four.
However, he was spotted on set with his co-stars during filming of the upcoming fifth season!
Sierra McClain – LEAVING THE SHOW
Sierra will not be reprising her role as Grace Ryder for season five.
Deadline reports that Sierra has exited the show and won’t be returning for the potential final season.
Jackson Pace – RETURNING WITH PROMOTION
It has been confirmed that Jackson Pace will be back as Wyatt for the fifth season and he’ll appear in all episodes as a series regular. He has previously appeared in nine episodes, beginning in season three. Wyatt will take over as the new dispatch following Grace’s exit.
