LESLIE DOES THE UNTHINKABLE!
The official synopsis for this episode reads: “Leslie does the unthinkable, putting her and Fatima’s friendship in jeopardy. Fatima attempts to keep the peace at a funeral, and Jeremiah’s trouble brings danger to Zack and Fatima’s doorstep.” This is gearing up to be one explosive finale, and I can already feel the tension building.
We see part of the danger unfold when a gun is pulled inside the duplex, and it looks like Fatima might accidentally get shot. It’s clear that these goons are after Jeremiah, probably because he owes them money, tried to rob them, or sold them something shady. We’ve seen these people before, like that unexpected visit to the barber shop a few episodes ago, and Tony had to deal with them. Now they’re hunting for Jeremiah, and since Fatima’s been involved in helping him get back on track, they’ve connected her and Zack to him.
At this point, Fatima and Zack might not even realize it, but their house is now a target. The whole “Jeremiah’s trouble brings danger to their doorstep” thing is real. There’s no doubt this is setting up for a cliffhanger, and we’re all left wondering: Who’s going to get shot? Who’s heading to the hospital? Let’s just hope it’s not Fatima, especially with her being pregnant. If she loses the baby because of Jeremiah’s mess, Zack might seriously lose it, and honestly, I can’t blame him. Jeremiah still has some serious growing up to do.
As for Fatima trying to keep the peace at the funeral, I’m expecting a lot of tension. Funerals can be complicated, especially in Black families, and the show could really tap into those raw emotions. With everything going on, it could either be an authentic, relatable storyline or just more drama with characters like Belinda doing something ridiculous. Personally, I hope it’s the former, because we’ve seen a lot of unnecessary back-and-forth, and this could be a real chance for the show to hit home with viewers.
Now, onto the “unthinkable” thing Leslie does that puts her friendship with Fatima at risk. I’m 100% sure that Leslie made a pass at Zack. That’s one thing Fatima doesn’t tolerate—friends crossing boundaries with her man. We’ve seen her react violently when Belinda tried something similar, and I think Leslie might be crossing that line now. The whole situation with Malachi’s confession could be a part of this too—maybe he’s secretly been in love with Fatima all this time. I definitely think the deck is being stacked for some major drama, and Fatima’s going to have to confront this betrayal.
