Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Sneak Peek: Zac Is A Stay-At-Home Dad Because He’s Broke

In this latest sneak peek from Sistas, Zach and Fatima are back to being their usual playful and affectionate selves. This moment feels bittersweet because it reminds us of when Sistas first began and we eagerly anticipated every interaction between these two. Despite the ups and downs of the show, the moments between Zach and Fatima always stood out, whether they were in person or just talking on the phone. Their light-hearted banter, smiles, and even casual kisses were the highlights of those episodes.

In this scene, they are discussing the murder investigation and whether it was a good idea to plant suspicion in Andy’s mind about Rob possibly being involved in Gary’s stabbing. Fatima reassures Zach that she just meant business-wise when talking about Andy getting back in bed with Robin. Zach, as expected, is a little shocked, considering Andy’s track record. But Fatima clears things up, and they continue their conversation about the case.

A moment later, Zach jokingly mentions how he’ll be bringing home the bacon since Fatima is busy working. While this part of the scene is light and funny, it also highlights an ongoing plot point. Last season, Zach had financial troubles, especially after the expenses related to his son, Michael. Zach put a lot of money into Gary’s business, but when he tried to retrieve it, Gary claimed his assets were frozen. This led to Zach still being in a difficult financial situation.

What’s confusing, though, is that this scene doesn’t quite match up with the timeline of Zatima (the spin-off series) where Zach is still in debt. It raises questions about whether Sistas is taking place somewhere in between the events of the two shows or if Preston’s potential financial help hasn’t come through yet.

Despite this confusion, the scene between Zach and Fatima is a refreshing reminder of their bond, with moments of laughter, affection, and a quick goodbye kiss. It’s the kind of connection fans love to see.

Lastly, Zach mentions putting his son on the bus, which feels like a sweet domestic moment. Even though this doesn’t seem like a huge scene, it’s a relatable snapshot of everyday life—sending a child off to school before diving into a murder investigation. It shows a grounded side to the drama of Sistas, blending humor and real-life moments.
